  1. Just wondering what my fellow fall 2012 pre nursing students are doing to stay on top of studies and balance life demands. I am taking 2 online courses and 2 lab sciences. I don't work and don't have kids. I do have a long commute and dh lol. Right now I live for caffeine and sugar because anatomy is leaving me little room for sleep : ) I feel like this one class will consume my life if I let it.
  2. I agree with Butterfly: have a backup plan. I will probably do a cna/lpn program and try to find work until I can reapply. Also, if I don't get in anywhere I will ask admissions what I can do to be more competitive and work on that. Having this plan eases my anxiety! :)
  3. Maybe check out the salary payscale website? I wish I could tell you! :)
  4. Hi! I just finished my first week too and it is fast paced :) come join us on the Fall 2012 a&p thread!
  5. Bumping this! Also, are you an Rn yet?
  6. Is platt accredited? If so I might check out their program depending on price and length of time.
  7. I hated comp classes! They take the fun out of reading and writing lol rent your textbooks if you can.
  8. For the bsn program I'm applying to, I also have to take psych, dev psych, and an upper division course.
  9. I haven't been to any clinicals but if your damp hair is in a bun, the dampness probably isn't too noticeable right? I have curly hair too and have gotten away with that in professional environments ^_^
  10. Thank you Lovely and Future. I will look forward to an update.
  11. Oooo an ipad sounds cool *_* I can't wait to be a nursing student too. Keep us posted!
  12. I'm taking pre-chem (class they make us take before chem 1), anatomy, psych, and nutrition. Next semester I'll take 4 classes and be done :)
  13. Today is my last day of summer and I am in denial lol But school starts Monday and I'm taking: A&P 1 with lab, gen chem with lab, intro to psych and nutrition. At two different schools and I have no car! But all are online except chem and the a&p lab. Woohoo!
  14. Congrats! I'm thinking about lpn school too and wondering: when/where are clinicals? Will I need a car?
  15. Congrats to everyone starting the program! Where/when are clinicals? I'm wondering if a car is necessary :)
