Who else out there is preparing to apply to either Wesleyan or TCU for 2008? I'm just preparing to sit for my CCRN (I have my CNRN that Wesleyan will accept but not TCU) & take my GRE. I know the deadline for TCU is October & Wesleyan has moved theirs up to Dec. 1. Not much time left. Anyone out there received any tips for admission?:uhoh21:

Congrats pedsccrn! I am still waiting. My mailman should be here anytime. Hopefully I will be as lucky as you.

My mail just came and I am an alternate at TCU. I guess thats better than nothing at all. Congrats to everyone that got in so far.

congrats nrsmellisa1, i am also an alternate at TCU. Out of curiosity does everyone who doesn't get in get on the alternate list? Also, when a slot becomes available how do they determine which alternate goes? If anyone knows the answer to this please let me know... Good luck to those who are on the list! My friend that just graduated from TCU said that 10 of the people whom she graduated with were alternates:)

Also, Neurogeek, is there a certain time that you have to respond to your acceptance letter from TCU?

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone!

Well for you who are waiting as alternates, I can let you know that I am declining my seat at TCU..

I have decided to accept acceptance at TWU instead b/c the clinical site they offered me will work out perfectly for me. It is in Bryan,Tx (by college station). Okay, the area surrounding the school makes me a little nervous, I'll probably hang out by TCU!

Anybody accepting TWU?:w00t:

I got my letter from TCU today. I will be at the Lufkin clinical site, I have to reply by Jan 31. I haven't heard from TWU yet, but I am about 99% sure I will be going to TCU. Look forward to meeting you guys in august.

my clinicals are in Lufkin, Tx. I am from East Texas and this is the closest site to my hometown.

Yes, I have 2 weeks to send my acceptance & deposit. Call Mary Jane to find out how the alternate thing works. She is more than willing to answer questions. I know cuz I probably drove her nuts with mine, but she was such a trooper and always willing to take the time.
