  1. Yes, it would take more than 20 min. to commute to FW from there. My then-BF commuted from his work in Dallas to TCU night MBA program then to Flower Mound 2 nights per week and he was kinda complaining. But it could be done, and was worth it since we enjoyed the house so much. There are abundant of decent choices on where u can live between Fort Worth and Dallas.
  2. I used to live off of Green Oaks and Hwy.360 in Grand Prairie and commuted to Dallas and Arlington. Great access to all of the metroplex cities. They have nice gated apartments for pretty good price (much more reasonable than Cali of course!). I used to have a house in Flower Mound. Beautiful neighborhood, close to trails in Grapevine and I mountain biked there. But commute was a lot tougher around 121/183/360/I-35 ( BUT LA traffic is crazy though)!
  3. I took the GRE with a little prep in 2006 and made a 940 (quantitative 590, Verbal 350). I took Kaplan review course early this year and I thought it was helpful bringing up my score. Since English is my second language, verbal did not go up that much for the second time, only to 410, but my math was 710. I was very happy with my score. Good luck to you.
  4. You will love California sunshine! I went to an ADN school in Gainesville, TX. I did my clinicals in Ardmore. The climate here is very mild in the winter and no "severe weather" warnings. Gets a little hot in the summer but very dry. Hope to see you in August.
  5. I did 5 years of ICU in multiple states before moving on to ER 4 years ago. For the last 2 years I am at this very crazy Level I trauma center in Los Angeles. I do many vents and drips here and learning tons! Several schools accepted my application since I had ICU experience. But yes, you do need solid ICU experience to apply to the CRNA programs. Good luck to you!
  6. I live in Cali and got my letter yesterday. I am sure you will get one today. Good luck! I still cannot believe I got in!
  7. I am a minority and I found out today that I had been accepted into a program. I was confident that my background would make me stand out in the interview.:dncg:
  8. I came home from working in the trauma booth today, then found an acceptance letter from TCU! So so sooooooooo happy! :beercuphe
