TCU Interview
Congratulations I'm still waiting. My mail already came today. I live in Kansas, so I figure I'm a couple days behind the locals.

TCU Interview
Anyone received their letter yet? I know they said they would make their decisions on Monday (1/12) and then start sending out the letters. I live in Kansas, so my mail comes after those of you in Texas. Good luck to everyone!

Anyone apply to Newman?
I got my letter from Newman a couple of weeks ago. Good Luck.

INTRA AROTIC BALLOON PUMP RATIO/RN/PT
I work at a busy heart hospital where we frequently see IABPs. At times we may have 3 IABP pts on the unit. Only the unstable IABP pts (multiple gtts and lines) aren't doubled. I am yet to see a problem from this practice. I think each pt needs to be evaluated on an individual basis for staffing purposes.

Fort Worth CRNA Programs
The letters were sent out last Wednesday, so maybe your mail is SLOW! I live in Kansas and haven't received mine either. I would think you should get it in the next day or so, because everyone gets a letter even if they are an alternate. GOOD LUCK!

TCU or U Penn?
I agree with californianurse!:yeahthat:

Galatia Heart Hosp. or Kansas Heart Hosp.
Kansas Heart is a wonderful place to work. The ratio is 1:2 in the ICU and 1:4 on the telemetry unit. The hospital stands by this policy, too! They will close to admissions if their nurses workloads get to high. The pay is consistant with the area. The management is great - they really care about the employees. We also have the best doctors in town!! As for Galchia I have never worked there, but the reviews I have heard are not the greatest. Good Luck in your job search.

TCU Interview
I also interviewed at TCU today. It went pretty well. No clinical questions at all. The director Kay told me after the interview they just want to find out what kind of person you are and why you would be a good addition to TCU. Everyone was really nice. Good Luck to all.

Fort Worth CRNA Programs
I interviewed yesterday at TWU with Dr.Reinke and Charles Waller. Things went really well. I was a pretty nervous going in knowing that Dr.Reinke would be one of my interviewers, but it wasn't bad at all. I will be very glad on Monday after I am done at TCU. Good luck to everyone else!

Fort Worth CRNA Programs
It looks like TCU is going to busy interviewing a lot of us on Monday Jan 7th. Maybe they will decide they don't need to have anymore interview days, because all of us are so qualified and we all will be accepted. Just a thought! GOOD LUCK to everyone interviewing at TCU and TWU over the next two weeks.

Anyone interviewed at Newman University CRNA program.
My interview went the same way. You don't know how you are doing, because they give you no feedback and they never smile. Everyone I know who has ever interviewed there walk out feeling terrible. I have known some great nurses with tons of ICU knowledge to not get accepted, but others with minimal knowledge get in. Know your gtts, classifications, diseases and treatments. Most importantly know ABG's and vent settings. GOOD LUCK!
