  1. Howdy all, I have a co-worker who has finished an LVN program and needs to take her state boards. She is wondering if Kaplan had a review program for LVN's. A review of their (Kaplan's) website showed an RN review course but nothing for LVN. Thanks

Recently a motorcyclist involved in a collision with a pedestrian. The motorcylists' blood alcohol................almost 600. And as usual, his victim was injured more severly than he was.
  3. Something similar. Our hospital was getting upgrades, putting plasma TV monitors all over the place. One day construction men are all over the place and a group of guys come in dressed with hard hats, tool belts, etc... take the monitors down and stroll out. Nobody questioned them, police realized what happened by watching the security tapes. I couldn't steal, the guilt would eat at me forever. Cam
  4. Hope I posted this in the right section. I am looking at going with an agency to pick up some PRN work (currently working FT and will cont. to do so.). I know squat about them and how they work other than the rate they pay tends to be higher than what the hospital pays. What do I need to look for or look out for? What questions should I ask? How do I know if the agency has a good rep? Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated. Cam
  5. Our process is very similar to what was described above. Only bad thing is we end up holding a lot of pts, because of a lack of beds on the floors. Cam
  6. Well said ^. To the OP glad your husband is doing better. If I had been in your situation I would not have reacted nicely, my family comes first....period. Cam
  7. Colonel Sanders..............he had a drum stick (chicken) lodged in his rectum and no idea how it got there........yeah I guess that happens
  8. Guilty of the "drank apple juice from a urinal" guess you had to be there, but I promise it was funny at the time. The horrified looks were the best.
  9. Well crap, I didn't think the first one ever posted.
  10. Too funny!!!!!!! Keep them coming, and I am offended............that there is only 6 pages of replies. Man has this been funny. Craig
  11. This thread is quite possibly the funniest thing I have read in God only knows how long. The GOMER score had me crying I was laughing so hard. And I am offended..........that there aren't more than 6 pages of replies so far. To the OP this is GREAT. Craig
  12. I did a little over a year Med / surg before going to the ER. For me it was a good thing. Try and shadow in the ER you want to go to, see what it's like. Craig
  13. For what it's worth I did a year med / surg before going over to the ER. For me it was a good decision. See if you can shadow in the ER for a shift or two if you haven't spent any time there. I love it. Craig
  14. Gotta second what this fella said!!!!!!!! Craig
  15. Thanks NrsMellisa1, I appreciate the info. We (my family) are about a year - a year and a half away from moving, but I will keep look into KHH as the time gets closer. Craig
