  1. Thanks to you both!!!! You rock!
  2. Ok, so the physician ordered 2.5mcg/kg/min. Pt weights 99.7 kg. Dose on hand is 500 mcg/250 ml. How many cc/hr would you run the IV dobutamine? (Need to check my answer!!) Thanks in advance.:typing
  3. Don't try to make your associates happy, it will never happen. Stay professional, evaluate the job you did and determine (for yourself) if you could do anything different to improve time management or communcation, be open to honest criticism that could improve the flow of the unit and also realize when associates are way off base with their criticisms ("constructive" or otherwise) and stand your ground! You will always have "know it alls" in any profession and most of the time they pat their own backs because of their own insecurities..........remember, they probably get their butts chewed daily by numerous physicians that you don't have to see too often on your shift!
  4. Sorry for this question.....if physician orders Dobutamine at 2.5 mcg/kg/min and pt weighs 99.7 kg and dose on hand is 500mcg/250 ml, what would the rate per hour be in cc's?? I need to check my answer.....thanks in advance.
  5. Thanks for the input..........I thought I was going crazy......sounds good!
  6. Hello..........can anyone give me an oversight on nursing standard of care when IV dobutamine is started??????? Does the patient have to be in CCU to receive it or can they receive IV Dobutamine while on a telemetry unit? VS protocols, titration, etc??
  7. Forget the online stuff. Get in there and meet the RN recruiter face to face. Be assertive but not a pain. Show that you are interested in learning and SHOW THEM WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR THEM!
  8. I am a nurse but have been a patient at both and let me tell you, Riverside was awesome. The nurses seemed to have good ratios, the ancillary staff was nice and helpful and everyone seemed.....HAPPY. It was nice to see people generally happy at work. OSU was a nightmare. Everyone was grumpy, complained that "they were short staffed" etc. Have no clue as far as salary and benefits. Goodluck.
