For all those waiting on acceptance letters.....

Let's keep up and tell about our experiences here. I'm waiting for the 14th when AUstin Peay State univ. sends my acceptance letter. I also have a NET test to take on the 28th of Oct. for LPN classes. I have applied to five other schools besides that. They will give decisions in November. I am just having the faith in God that I will get into all of them and that I will have a choice of schools. What's everyone else waiting on? Has anyone already received their letter?

Can we make this a sticky?

We also have to accept in writting in 10 days from receiving the letter. I'm not sure what they do when the person being called denies the spot. I won't find out either!!!!!! That is...if they ring my bell!

You can't HTML in your signature, actually, you can't have a signature unless you go premium. (Which is really cheap for students!)

So, I have to change my number everyday. I'm almost always up at 12 AM, so I change my number and go to bed. LOL

...BUT....Sure you can do it! I've had several people say the countdown on my signature is making them just as anxious to find out! I sure hope I don't have to burst everyone's bubble.

I can't concentrate! I've been trying to write the same paper all day long, and I don't have anything accomplished. I get half way through 1 page, and totally go off on what I'm trying to write....have to tear that page out of the composition page & start all over....ugggh

The letters are supposed to be mailed out by this Saturday. Starting Saturday, I'll be camping out by the mailbox! :rotfl:

If I haven't received it by next Tuesday, the mailman may have to bring his mace with him...I may scare him when I run and leap towards him to get the mail! :chuckle

I am nervously waiting too. I got my rejection letter last year by this time. Just so so nervous to see if all my hard work paid off. I was reading on the schools homepage that if you are accepted you get information on assesment, registration and orientation. What do they usually do for an assesment?

I recently found out that I am pregnant, luckily due when classes are out in the spring, but the midwife at my first appointment said the nursing instructers are really really hard on the students and she didn't understand why they were so hard.

Hi! I am presently studing for the NET test. What info are you using for the reading comprehension section? Heard inferential reading section was un passable.

Don't believe it...it is very passable...just read the passage carefully. I think people make the NET out to be LOT:uhoh3: harder than it really is. Hang in there, you'll do fine. :wink2: Good Luck!

I turned my application package in near the end of September, should know something around the 1st of November. The College here is standing up a new RN program and this will be the first class. Since it is a new program and we are in a rural area there have only been about 60 applicants for 20 spots. Things look pretty good, I had a 3.7 GPA and all the pre and co-reqs (except microbiology) completed in advance. Everyone applying to the program took the HESI Admission Assessment in September and I got the 3rd highest score (91%) There were some sub-70 scores so that eliminated some people right off the bat. I was told my "points" total was one of the highest so we'll see what happens.

With it being the first year of the program I imagine there will be some bumps in the road for everybody because I don't think they get accredited until after their first class takes the NCLEX. The admission process happened so fast for this new program from the time they announced the new program to the application deadline that many local people that wanted to apply didn't have all the pre-reqs needed so that is one reason for the smaller applicant pool.
