Hi! I'm a registered nurse in the Philippines. I really decided to join this website because I have so many questions in mind that is bothering me right at this moment. This is regarding my plans of working in Illinois. I will be taking the CGFNS exam this July. In God's grace to pass, I'm planning to take IELTS exam and apply for an NCLEX examination. I would just like to ask an advice from you if what exam should I take first? Is it the IELTS or apply first to NCLEX? And how many months does this application will be approved by the Illinois BON? Because I've heard from my friends that it will took us a couple of months for our application to be approved by the Illinois BON for us to take the NCLEX exam. Is it true? so after i get my eligibility, i sign up with pearsonvue for the nclex right? yeah i heard about that retrogression thing, our immigration lawyer said that all the visas that are being processed right now are the ones that were submitted last may 2005. whee. hahaha.

Processing for Philippines is Jan 05 at the moment. Yes Once you have eligibility then register with pearsonvue

No, zero difference! Your country of birth, that is what counts, so several years waiting time.

Nope makes no difference you can no adjust your visa in the US employer can only file I140 and that does not give permission to stay in the US and work, all it means is once you have I140 approval you join the long queue

another question guys, i can use a recognized livescan fingerprint vendor here in illinois even if i was a foreign educated student right? at least that's what the lady at the idfpr told me earlier when i was requesting for a fingerprint card. just making sure

Sure you can, Fingerprints are fingerprints:) Doesn't matter how you collect them.

Hello guys,

sorry for being away for quite some time, I needed to focus on the NCLEX.

I don't know what to say about it but I'd like to share the outcome with you guys.

I logged in to pearsonvue.com for the quick results after like 60 hours and here's my result:

Status: Pass :D

THANK GOD!

I mean, that's it right? I made it through the test? Whats the next thing to do then?

I tried checking idfpr for a license look-up but I didn't find my name. Is the quickresults accurate?

Quick Results are the actual results and what the BON will receive from Pearson-Vue. The only reason that they are unofficial is that only the BON can issue a license.

Not all states post licenses right away, some can take more than a week to get things up.

But you have passed and that is what counts.

For others that are reading here:

Please never do this. If the application is not complete, then do not send it in. There are actually quite a few states that are returning applications and not doing a thing with them if all is not received by them in a timely fashion. And it is highly recommended that one never send in any application until the CES report is actually completed as well. There is no reason for a BON to hang onto a file that they cannot do one thing with, they cannot even check the fingerprints while waiting.

Why do they need to have the responsibility of watching the file when there is nothing in it that they can do anything with? Without the CES report, they will not do anything with it, or can they do a thing since your transcripts are part of the CES report and without the fingerprints being submitted at the same time, then there is not one thing that they can do. And I would not be surprised if the file is not there when they have had to wait for so long. All it does is waste everyone's time, and at a time when there are not as many people at many of the BONs either.
