For those who did Hurst review....

Published

I do have questions for those who took Hurst review after being unsuccessful in the NCLEX-RN exam.

Right now i am studying from Hurst review but i need suggestions from those who already took NCLEX and passed.

Do i need to do content review from any other source rather than Hurst OR it is good to stick with the one as i found Hurst review so informative and easy to understand.

GUDLUCK STARBELLY.

U will be in my prayer :)

Hey JBREEZY,

I asked the same questions to everyone that i should do the content from Hurst only or have to use other book as well.I did not get any appropriate answer from anyone so i decided that i will use Hurst only for content. So i finished up to oncology and Hurst content stick to your brain faster than any other book(saunders). So i am doing exam mode on Saunders CD after i finish content from Hurst.I found this way more easier. If u do not mind can u share your study plan as well.

Thanx :)

I took the HURST Review three times. Once the summer before my senior year, the winter before my last semester, and the week after graduation. I made 100's of flash cards and studied the HURST way for three weeks and passed on my first try with 75 questions in a hour and a half.

Hey Kcshabi!

I have kaplan, saunders Q&A, saunders 3rd ed, prioritization by lacharity, and hurst. I've read some stuff on saunders 3rd edition but not a lot. Right now I'm doing hurst, then maybe back to saunders to see what I might have missed. then I'll do practice questions from kaplan, lacharity, and Q&A saunders. I feel overwhelmed since it looks a lot! I really like Hurst, very easy to read. I hope tho it works!

I passed!!!! I thought the Hurst Review did a great job simplifying concepts and had great mnemonics. I was also really glad I studied the "Kaplan NCLEX-RN 2010-2011 Strategies, Practice, and Review" book. It really helped me interpret the question and prioritize. Another resource I used was this website: http://www.nurseana.com/ it has tons of practice questions and good tutorials.

Good Luck everyone! Now to get a job.:monkeydance:
