For foreign students of nursing (Russian, Ukrainian)

Published

Hi, I am from Ukraine.

I am going to pass NCLEX in CA. I was graduated in Ukraine. I am looking for foreign nurses. I have a lot of questions about paper work before test . Is anybody here?

Help me , please.

You are applying for licensure as an RN in California.

What questions do you specifically have? Most have been answered already. And yes, you do need to have your school send a copy of your trancripts to the BRN before they will permit you to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam.

And if you do not have a SSN#, expect it to be a few weeks before you will get your results.

Hi, Tanin! I just found your massage here. I'm from Ukraine too. Now live in California and trying to get through this complicated prosses of getting RN-licensed here. If you , please ,would let me know how it warked out for you with transcripts. This is my major question. Should I just send the form (printed out from the Board ) to my college in Ukraine? How did you do it?

You need to send the form to your school to complete and then send it back to the BON for the state where you wish to get licensed. The state will not do anything with your application until they have received that.

CA requires that they have a completed set of transcripts before they will issue approval for you to sit for the exam.

All of the instructions need to be followed that are given with the BRN for foreign-trained nurses.

Thanks, Suzanne! You help a lot. I appriciate that:)
