  1. nursing and midwifery council of the UK: http://www.nmc-uk.org/ you need to be registered to the council first to be able to work in UK, on the site you can find the ways of registration , for EU or overseas trained nurses. can't help you with visa, it's much easier for EU members.
  2. hi, ablez76 my english is rather poor, I wanted to write " i"ve studied in Italy, and live in Italy". actually i"m interested in ways to practice nursing in USA and UK, aknowledging of diplomas, registering to nursing body. sorry, can"t help you. if you want some information on practicing nursing in Italy or UK, just ask me!
  3. i"m an EU registered nurse, with Italian citizenship, working in icu, graduated from university in italy with bachelor"s degree. can anyone tell me the right way how to "certificate " my documents, in the right way , to register to the NMC. I hate it to be refused the documents, because of some stamp lacking.... i"ve got a long experiense these years with certificating my ucrainian documents, I know all the difficulties one can meet. thanks p.s. i"ve already got my application NMC form to fill in. want to do it correctly
  4. here in italy i won't say that the nurses are paid well, comparing with us salaries... even with the lowest one...
  5. i'd work 24 hours a week!
  6. hi, girls ! i'm from ukraine too! i've studied nursing in italy , and live here, work in ICU.
  7. if yuo are EU member, to work in europe you need to have your diploma corrispond to this directive: 2005/36/EC http://europa.eu/scadplus/leg/en/cha/c11065.htm http://eur-lex.europa.eu/smartapi/cgi/sga_doc?smartapi!celexplus!prod!DocNumber&lg=en&type_doc=Directive&an_doc=1977&nu_doc=452 http://europa.eu/scadplus/leg/en/s19005.htm when you are not EU, i'm afraid you have to get your diploma recognized in the country you wish working, then register to the country nursing council.
  8. thank you Suzanne and Silverdragon for the attention to my post! i found that i can take my NCLEX exam here, in europe, without going to the US. surely, i must study hard before taking it.... sorry that nonbody from italy could write me, sharing his experiense ...
  9. thank you, suzanne, these days i"m trying to read all the stickies above , to understand what one should do to be able to practice nursing in the usa. but... don"t you have the council, regulating the profession, as in italy or GB. all you need is to pass NCLEX and get your visa ? ( surely it"ll get lots of time) do I need my diplomas traduced e certified ? can"t find list of documents to prepare , when i move to the USA... what can they ask me for ?
  10. hi to all of you, i would like to find any italy- trained nurses in the USA, that moved to the country for working. sometimes i think to go to the USA to have some working experience , i would like to know your impressions from being here. thanks
  11. greetings to all finland nurses!!! here in Italy we have heard about your courage and achievements you gained from your governement!!!!
  12. P.P.S. what is the medium salary at USA after taxes? thanks
  13. hello carveronica, i'm not an italian, but live in italy for 8 years already. unfortunately the situation got worse in these years so as finansially as politically. i've lived at south ( naples) moving progressively north these years : modena, then finally trento, in the alpes. it's very beautiful here ( the only my consolation). this is a beautiful country, exellent food and alimentary traditions, splendid places to visit all over the country both south and north, but it gets very harder living here every year, less work and same salary with growing prices. i think this also happens all over the world, or maybe i'm wrong? here are some links to research servers you asked me ( just to give you an idea of prices of different cities, but they are in italian...) hope you know it well http://annunci.repubblica.it/bolzano http://www.casa.it/se1/s2.aspx?inparam=1^1^^^^OA^^^^^A^^^^^CIT^c^^^^l20^^^^^^^^^^ http://casa.newscrawler.it/ you can also find information with google e.g." casa brindisi", but stay aware contacting someone, you may be fished easily :trout: and lost your money, be very careful, particulary at south regions!! write me if you need some information, i'll respond you as soon as possible bye, iryna P.S. is it very difficult to practice nursing with foreign diploma in USA? i've graduated from italian university after three years studies
  14. i'm afraid that going to work as a nurse in Italy isn't a good idea. first of all , salary's not so much as in usa (1200-max 1800 euro) an to rent the house is rather expensive (depending on the city- from 500to800 euro for 50m3) it's expencive to live, to do anything, the only thing is that the contry is a very beautiful. i've lived here for 8 yers but i'd like to leave for some another country, cause every year it becomes harder to live 'cause you eat everything you earn . :welcome:come here for your holidays to have some fun :balloons: but not to professional grow up
