Anyone else taking this?

Specializes in ED, ICU, MS/MT, PCU, CM, House Sup, Frontline mgr.

My grade posted, I got an A!!!! I want to wish ALL of you lots of luck this semester. The nutrition course I took was hard but very rewarding since I had to learn a lot of information in a short amount of time and it was great review of A&P II!!! Now I get a one week vacation before school starts! :monkeydance:

MBA2BRN- Congrats on your A! Good job and enjoy your week off! That is the frosting on the cake, is getting a week!

Question to others in nutrition- about to go to class in a few minutes but I printed the syllabus- does anyone else have to go on "fieldtrips"? We have to go to the gym, jazzercise, and yoga during class. Anyone else?

I'm enrolled for Nutrition. Should be fun *crossing fingers*. I really want this A so I am going to study so hard people will be asking "are you worried about not passing?" LOL

I just took this class and I got a "B". It was an extremely interesting course with lots of great information. One word of advice is to read your chapters ahead of time and do your projects flawlessly :specs:.

Thank you for the heads up Skyetropics!

Each class will be different cause instructors expect different things. You will learn a lot. I hope you like it as much as I did. It isnt hard to spend time studying something you are interested in. There is some chemistry, but it doesnt go deep. Mainly you will study the digestive system and how proteins, fats, carbs, vitamins and minerals are digested and absorbed into the body. It isnt the easy class some think it is, but it is interesting.

Hey All,

I am going to be taking this class in January 2007. :icon_roll Any suggestion. Can anyone who has taken the course give a heads up of what's to come.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Count me in. My class is online, has 4 tests, 2 activities each week and a semester long project. Actually looking forward to it though! ;)

Specializes in ICU, Med-Surg, Post-op, Same-Day Surgery.

My class is online too. Except we have a quiz for each chapter (20 chapters-and actually more like 3 quizes for each chapter--a quiz, matching, and fill in the blank!), 4 discussion topics (mini assignments), and a personal dietary analysis project. It's way more work than I anticipated! The book is almost 700 pages!

What book do you have for the class? Ours is "Nutrition: Concepts and Controversies, 10th ed"
