UNF summer 2011 hopefull

U.S.A. Florida

I would like to contact others who have applied to UNF for summer of 2011. Although I have a degree, I am applying for the RPL program and not the accelerated program because I have kids at home. I have 3.68 GPA and 87% TEAS V. I guess they will send out interview invitations mid-February.

You would think with 500 applicants that there would be more people on here talking about the program.

H2M- I thought the same thing. I assume many people who are applying don't even know about the boards though. Happy waiting! :clown:

Hi Ladies!

I have applied for UNF Summer 2011. Did either of you receive an email from the school that your application status was available on line? I have and when I reviewed all the information, I either have a 726 or a 717, 9 points difference on GPA listed in two separate places. Hoping for an interview and had heard that last summer the cutoff was around 680 for interviews. There is another thread for the accelerated program. I have a bachelors but did not want to condense the program that I feel will be difficult enough anyway. I also thought those spots would be harder to obtain. Anyway, some of them have about the same total score as I do so I feel better about the chance of an interview. Both of you have higher totals likewise!

I think we are all in good shape!

marycnew.....I know someone who just graduated the accelerated program and she said it was very intense. Even though I already have a degree, I have young children and I think accelerated would be too much. It seems you all have a lot more points than I do...only 715 for me. I hope that is true about the 680. I guess we will find out in a few weeks. The waiting is very hard.

HM2Doc....500 applicants, that is a lot. Did you call the school to get that info?

My application status letter said over 400 and I was worried about that....but 500...geez!

Good luck to everyone!

I don't recall receiving that email you mentioned, but i have gotten a handful from them so maybe i have and just don't remember it. I had also heard that the cutoff from last summer was 680, but hopefully that will change this semester. I'm not sure if last summer they had to take the TEAS V, but if they didn't then we can expect to see the cutoff lower. I say this because, on average, people's adjusted score has been 10 points lower on the TEAS V than on the TEAS 3 & 4. Atleast that is the general concensus on the all nurses forums.

Oh, by the way i am a manle. lol. I say this because you said "hi ladies." :lol2:

It is amazing how many men are applying right now. I guess when we women post things we assume we are talking to other women but not so....many of you are men and I think that is great! I personally think it would be boring having only women in nursing school. Hopefully quite a few of you are non-traditional students as well!

I think they sent out e-mails about 3 weeks ago about the application status. It told you to go and check out your transcript evaluation and make sure everything was in order.

Sorry 'bout the "Ladies" reference HM2Doc!

GGood luck to ALL! One more week to wait.....clock.png...

Seriously, aside from when I was 8 1/2 months pregnant.....I don't remember time ever going this SLOW!!!

Anyone know when we should be hearing about interview invites/declines?

Just noticed this thread! Let's throw another male into the mix, shall we? :D

I have had the other UNF thread bookmarked, now I see where everyone else was hiding! Waiting for letter here too!

Next week! That is what I have heard. Sit tight, and good luck!

All of you seem to have really great scores as well. Please post the status as to whether or not you got an interview as soon as you find out! good luck to all of you!!! just a few more days and we will know :uhoh3:

Interview notices, according to the UNF website, should be mailed out mid-February. That means we should start checking our mailboxes religiously starting monday.
