  1. Congrats Here2Learn! I too recieved my letter of acceptance this morning. I look forward to meeting the new class. Best of luck to everyone in their pursuits.
  2. Chzwoman, I also heard someone say their homepage changed, but another student said her account didn't change before she recieved the letter and she was accepted. Bottom line- I wouldn't use it to determine whether or not you got in. Of course, if it changes it could be a good sign, but don't be worried if it doesn't. I know waiting can be hard. I am in the same boat. This is worse than waiting for my daughter to come when I was pregnant! At least then I knew she WAS coming.:) lol Good luck!
  3. Scarlett, That's great! I am waiting too. Best of luck to you. What school are you coming from?
  4. HM2, Congrats on your acceptance! Have they given you an idea of the cost at orientation? I know online it says around $2000 but I wasn't sure how accurate this was. Kali
  5. Dennise, This really depends on your target school's policy on retaking prereqs. Most schools do allow you retake them if you made below a C and they would just accept your highest score. Don't get discouraged. You don't need all As but you need to show a strong commitment to your education through your grades. I, too, have failed courses because of personal disruptions in my life. Don't feel bad. It happens to the best of us. School can take the back burner when your personal life becomes trying. Now that you know what you have at stake, don't allow it to happen again. If the school you WANT to attend doesn't allow you retake it, see if you can locate another school nearby who will. If you feel like nursing is what you want to do, don't let anyone tell you can't do it. Never allow yourself to be discouraged in your goals. If nothing else you may realize there is simply some other path you were meant to take. (Although I am not saying you won't be a nurse). The counselor you spoke with does not determine your future so don't allow his opinion to bear so much weight. Keep trying and I can guarantee you will find your path. Kali
  6. That's great! I am excited to begin meeting more people who are applying for the Fall semester. Especially since the Summer board is probably going to be moving on in their adventures! Don't be nervous, either way you will surely find a path that suits you, right? Congratulations in your decision to become a nurse. I hope your as excited about it as I am. Best of luck!
  7. Just wanted to stop by and take a moment to encourage those who were waitlisted or didn't get in to continue to pursue their dreams! This just wasn't your path. It doesn't mean your path isn't still out there waiting. Congratulations to those of you who found your path this semester. Best of luck to you all!
  8. Lexi, That's great! :yeah:I was starting to wonder if anyone else was applying besides those who don't get into summer term. Are you going to the info session in March? Good luck! Kali
  9. Flhusker, I am not sure if it's the accelerated program or just the fact that many people, like yourself, prefer to have the following semester as a backup. I would have applied if my prerequisites would be finished in time but no such luck. I am not positive so I would check with admissions, but I would assume that you would have to pay a new application fee for each application. Anytime they have to process something, you will be paying for the processing. Sorry! If you get in, however, it will be worth it so no worries. I wouldn't apply until after March or April though because you should know by then whether you were accepted in Summer and the deadline for Fall isn't until May. Good luck and congrats on getting this far!
  10. H2M- I thought the same thing. I assume many people who are applying don't even know about the boards though. Happy waiting!

NP NAM! I would like to clear up some bad wording for anyone else who may read this posting and try to understand what I meant though, lol. From my last post: "The scale is showing you basic PH values (1, 2, 3...14)" When I used the word basic in this sentence I meant as in simple or regular not basic in terms of PH rating. The scale shows both basic and acidic values. Bad wording for this type of question.

NAM, I am not sure if your manual has the same questions as mine but I am going to assume it does and try to help you out. PH is a measure of H+ concentration in a solution. The scale is showing you basic PH values (1, 2, 3...14) and their corresponding concentration levels. The question is asking you to compare the difference between two different levels or in this case the difference of two units (concentration values). Try to look at the scales concentrations values as a form of scientific notation. (They use this because actual concentrations are small) Write the actual numbers out if you have to so that is easier for you to see. When you do that you can see the difference between 10 to power of -1 and 10 to the power of -3 is actually 100. In this example the two numbers written out would be 0.1 and 0.001. The difference is two decimal places or the addition of two zeros. I hope I didn't confuse you and I answered your question. I know how frustrating this can be. If it helps at all I didn't have a question like this on the exam when I took it. You exam may be different but try not to over think it too much. If you try to use your frame of reference I am sure you will come up with some form of a rational answer every time.
  13. HM2- Well so long as you are confident in your choice to become a nurse, I am sure you will do fine in the interview. I would imagine the purpose of the interview is to weed through those simply looking for a decent paycheck. Congrats on your scores! I am pretty confident in my chances as well. Just a waiting game now. When do you hear back regarding the Summer term? I know it is soon. **crosses fingers** :)
  14. Hello Everyone! I am applying for UNF for Fall 2011 admission. Anyone else also applying for the Fall 2011 semester? Good luck to you all in your pursuits! Kali
