Nova Southeastern University Entry Level BSN Winter 2014

Published

Hi future nurses! I've been searching for a recent forum of the BSN program for Winter 2014 but couldn't find any so I decided to make one myself. I applied to the Winter 2014 BSN program at NOVA. All my prereqs are done, my GPA is 3.7 and my science GPA is 3.5. I was hoping to receive feedback from anyone who has applied in the past or is currently applying like myself to the Winter 2014 program! Have any of you gotten an interview call yet?:nailbiting::nailbiting:

Well, I got accepted to Chamberlain's BSN program! But , for the first time ever I am not excited :( Im keeping this on the back burner until I get my decision from Nova

Congrats on getting accepted to Chamberlin!!! I haven't heard back about a decision yet either. Has anyone with the interview date Oct. 23rd heard back with a decision?

Thanks ! I guess I should be happy right considering its a BSN program but I'm still hopeful for Nova. If I would stop

Comparing my scores and gpa to others I would be able to sleep at night lol

Congrats to everyone in the program!

I got my acceptance email this morning for Kendall campus. I had my interview on October 15th. Such a relief, I've also been accepted in to Miami Dade's nursing program. NOVA has been my dream since the start but $50,000 is a lot of money! Anyone have any words of wisdom to settle my nerves?

@julieeeBeee I believe that Nova is a better choice choice because you'll end up with a a bachelor degree afterwards. If this has been your dream , definitely go for it ! I , too need to borrow loans .

I understand how you feel about the money but you can't give up on your dream!!! it cost money to make money! Yes , for a bachelors degree it's insane however, Nova is a great reputable school and it's so involved in the students. Everyone takes loans and you may get scholarships too ! Do it !

Congrats to everyone in the program!

if you dont mind me asking what was your kaplan score

Hi everyone,

I got my interview last Wednesday. Everything went well, the group interview was not stressful, the 3 faculty members were very nice. I think my group did very well at the scenarios they gave us. I did get my Kaplan overall score but I noted my score individually. I got 75 in science, 86 in reading, 70 in writing and 57 in math:no: but ( I knew it), critical thinking 95....I do not know what all this score worth for my overall....I try not to stress out and wait for the best.....By the way i also apply at Barry.

Gigi509 that's right !! Dont stress over it . Im sure you did your best. Barry is not hard to get in as long you have a good G.P.A. I wish you the best !

I am trying to apply for the fall semester. For the application is it required to write the essay and send 2 letters of recommendation? Also do you have any other advise for applying to Nova?

No letter of recommendation is required anymore. When you apply, you write a short essay on the application about why you want to be a nurse, thats all.

Anyone put on HOLD ?
