Florida International University (FIU) CRNA 2025

Published

Here's a thread for those of us applying to FIU's CRNA program for Spring of 2025. Good luck to everyone!

Hey guys! When I go on my To-Do List on my FIU application, it says that I have to submit my final transcripts to FIU. Does anyone else have that on their To-Do List? My university sent my official transcripts to NursingCAS back in December and my app was verified by NursingCAS shortly after I submitted it. Are we also supposed to send transcripts directly to FIU?

Information meeting today said they have received over 300 applications this year so far.  They are planning on interviewing 96 applicants for 45 seats. Average GPA last year was 3.7 with a science GPA of 3.8, with 3 years of ICU experience. This year sounds like interviews will be done in groups and there will be a CCRN knowledge exam.

This is great info. thanks for sharing! I just submitted my application today. I am a little concerned because its last minute. They still have to process my transcript entry and I have one reference that accepted but didn't turn it in. the transcript agency stated it may take up to ten business days to process transcripts.

just curious, where does everyone live? I am in Palm Beach County in west Lake Worth.

Do they process transcripts when they are received, or not until you submit your application?  I too am waiting for my last letter of recommendation to submit, and per CAS, they won't process your application until everything is in.  I hope this does not prevent me from being considered.

On the professional transcript entry page, it states mine are being processed.

Mine too, so I think they won't have to look at those again after you actually submit.  Maybe someone knows more though ?

I believe you have to have your transcripts verified and all recommendation letters received in order for your application to be verified. Mine was not verified until my last recommender submitted her letter. Although CAS stated it might take them up to ten business days to verify the transcripts, mine only took two business days.

Hey guys, I'm applying next year and I want to prepare myself, Can you guys share your stats and years of ICU experience?

Yeah it's a little confusing. The instructions say it has to be "complete" by the deadline. Complete per CAS means everything is turned in. It can take the 10 business days to move from "complete" to verified. Leads me to think as long as it's all submitted by 4/1 but pending verification, you'll be okay. That being said, if it truly did take 10 business days to verify, they'll have already sent out interview invites before it's verified.

I logged into my FIU account tonight and saw a final transcript and GRE scores on my To Do list. I'm not sure what that's about.

Mine too! I think it's an error on their end.

How do you get access to this? Do you eventually get an email to set up access after completing the secondary application?  I submitted my CAS and the secondary application, but the secondary application was just a couple of questions, my CAS ID, and pay a fee, it didn't require me to make an account or anything.

I believe you will receive an email from FIU. I just received one late last night to set up my account. Not sure what it means though.
