Here's a thread for those of us applying to FIU's CRNA program for Spring of 2025. Good luck to everyone!

I also have a friend she just about to wrap up her 4th semester she said she'd advised to review math because they might be adding a math station. I think the OSCE part is what have me more nervous.
I'm so bad at math 😩 like dosage calculations?

What is OSCE? Like a group simulation on a patient?
CRNA27 said:Do you guys think they'll still ask cognitive questions individually? Since the clinical scenarios probably gonna the group 3-5 they mentioned in the interview invites. I think she also mentioned something about having 4 stations, I'm so curious what the stations will be.
I'm wondering if 4 stations mean 4 different patient scenarios? I doubt there will be many cognitive questions

I agree. This is why I've been so stressed about it. Not sure how we're supposed to showcase our knowledge/skills while everyone's getting evaluated simultaneously. Especially if everyone's trying to be a leader.

Yes, I looked it up and it's kind of giving you a prompt and they're expecting certains steps to be accomplished from start to finish, the examinor will have a checklist and check off the steps you complete or miss.
I guess the most perfectly you complete the task the most points you get. But it's also say online that they mostly use that for interviews to make it more fair to all the applicants since they will all be going through the same stations. Now since it's group I wonder if they'll just keep each person a specific role in a scenario.
futureCRNApro25 said:tbh this year is going to be completely different. I think they have high attrition rate the past graduating cohort so they were trying to do something different during the interview. 😞 I just brushed up my CCRN book. I'm nervous and I also talked to one of the first year SRNA and she told me she only got one question in the interview. Good luck!
Good luck to you. We got this 🤞

Probably so. I am thinking each stations gonna be on a specific clinical skill or topic.
CRNA27 said:Yes dosage, percentage and conversion.
Just practice. You'll do great

My take is the entire interview process, whatever that may include, will be conducted in groups and there will be no individual components.
