guys I honestly don't know what to say, I'm SO disappointed in myself, I got everything PERFECT until the clinical situation I said the right pathophysiology diagnosis but completely brain farted on the other piece of the clinical question. If I didn't mess this up truth be told I would feel amazing about my interview and that I probably got one of the 45. Truth be told I still feel somewhat okay but that one thing has me convinced I might as well be taken out of the 150 for the 45 seats. FIU is my top choice

I guess there's always next year.

don't feel that way, FIU uses a counting system, interview may take a couple points. so if u have the perfect rest, I think u will be fine. no worries. too early to say.

just did my interview, I had only 1 clinical question. capped at 10 mins. was so worried if it is a bad sign. they told me that we will know the result in 2 weeks.

Specializes in ICU.

Hi, are you guys getting questions about community services and research?!

Specializes in ICU, CCU, MICU.

What kind of clinical questions are you guys getting?? Is it like tell me about your population and what kind of patient you see and then they ask you on that patho? Or do they say a scenario and what would you do?

There are many different ways to ask and I'm sure everyone is being asked differently. I am just wondering if it's random like hey tell me about sepsis or if you have a some control. Or it's a ekg or abg??‍♀️

They just give you a random clinical scenario. You have to give them information about it and whatever else they may ask you pertaining to the question. They give you time and don't feel rushed... even though I rushed it ?

waiting for another 2 weeks is so brutal

Do you mean they stopped you at 10 mins or you just so happen to finish in 10 mins?

Do they ask you if you have any questions at the end of the personal interview?

Specializes in MICU/Neuro ICU.

Just had my interview. They had 365 applicants and are interviewing 150. There are several groups of 2 faculty members that are conducting the interviews during each slot. The 15 minutes go by fast; however, they were extremely welcoming. Also 1 clinical scenario for me.

any of you that had interview and was about to ask for how much scores do we have on our application now?

I was tempted, but I wouldn't know what a good vs bad score would be. The fact we have been able to interview I think is a positive sign. Based off my interview, I suppose they base it off of: Clinical experience, ICU years, volunteering, research, publishings, etc etc
