I was wondering if anyone out there could give me some advice about updating my resume. I've only had one job as an RN and it is within the Float pool of a major teaching hospital. I'm not sure how to describe the position. I've seen a lot of resume advice about not writing generic nursing tasks, but to focus more on the tasks/meds/treatments that are unique to your specialty. Well I have no specialty. I know a little about a whole lot. I float to 16 different med/surg, cardiac, heme/onc (though not chemo certified), and one section of the ED (simple cases). How do I showcase my skills without being too lengthy. Any advice would be great. Thanks for reading!

Float nurse here...I would play up your awesome flexibility skills and vast knowledge base/experience/exposures, like being able to seemlessly jump into any floors staffing matrix, skill mix, and patient population and rock out the shift while supporting your patients, your peers, and at times their patients as well!
