I am currently in the process of applying to FIU's nursing program, BSN Track, and I want to know ANYONE'S experience on getting into the program. Including your
-overall GPA,
-science GPA,
-TEAS score,
-volunteer hours,
and anything else you feel helped give more weight to your application.
Currently, I am an mdc student in my last semester. I have a 4.0 overall and science GPA, in a week I'll be taking the TEAS exams, and will have at most 115 volunteer hours. PLEASE let me know if there is anything I should do to get my application rank higher!! Thank you for any responses. Also if you are applying too, share your stats and anxieties too
Hey guys,
I also applied this cycle. I'm a current FIU student, 3.8 GPA overall, 4.0 science, 86 on TEAS, and about 500 hours (including a leadership position at FIU). I think everyone that has posted has pretty good stats but I know it's stressful nonetheless. I've heard from a current senior nursing student that if you have a gpa of 3.75+, a teas score of 85+, and some volunteer hours, you are basically automatically accepted. From what I've checked on previous forums and current students' instas, the acceptance letters tend to go out 3rd week of May.

I emailed Christian and he told me that they should start sending decisions in mid to late May. He also said that they received more applications than last year.
I'm kind of worried to be honest, my GPA is 4.0 overall and prereq, however I got an 83 on science in the TEAS and an 87 overall, and I have no volunteer hours. Hopefully my video essay is good enough to balance it or something.
