FIU- Generic BSN Fall 2019

I am currently in the process of applying to FIU's nursing program, BSN Track, and I want to know ANYONE'S experience on getting into the program. Including your

-overall GPA,

-science GPA,

-TEAS score,

-volunteer hours,

and anything else you feel helped give more weight to your application.

Currently, I am an mdc student in my last semester. I have a 4.0 overall and science GPA, in a week I'll be taking the TEAS exams, and will have at most 115 volunteer hours. PLEASE let me know if there is anything I should do to get my application rank higher!! Thank you for any responses. Also if you are applying too, share your stats and anxieties too ;)

Hi guys,

How are you guys doing in the program so far? I plan on applying for Fall 2020, and I’m already worried. I’ll be graduating with my AA this fall...with plans of making my GPA higher than it is now.

Please be open to share any tips that will give me an upper leg of getting into the program.

Since you didn't apply to FIU, which school did you apply to? Are you now in a program? If yes, how is it going?

I noticed that you mentioned that your friend got accepted to FIU, do you mind letting me what her status was like?

Hi! I applied to Nova and am currently in their program now. It's my second week, but so far so good! My professors are great.

I believe my friend had a 3.7ish GPA if I'm remembering correctly, and around an 85-87 overall on the TEAS. He also had 200 volunteer hours. Hope that helps!

Thank you so much for replying. Awesome! I wish you all the best ? I am preparing myself for Fall 2020 application. I hope it won't be too competitive next year. I am finishing my AA and prerequisites now. Also, in Spring 2020, I will be retaking some classes that I passed with B's to raise my GPA a bit higher. Goodluck future nurse! ?
