Waiting on ATT letter...

Has anyone received their ATT letter yet who graduated this fall?

Graduated Dec 15 and still waiting. I HATE waiting!!! My school is slow with everything - they probably were with getting our papers out too! We all filled out our papers and paid in Nov and school just had to send in our graduation stuff.

To give you an idea, I graduated November 17th and received my ATT by email on December 5th. So it took about 2 and a half weeks to get it. All my stuff had been filed with the BON and NCLEX back in September, so the graduation stuff was all I was waiting on as well. Good luck guys!

If I just mailed in my stuff to the board of nursing the day after Christmas, and I'm already set with Pearson, anyone have an idea of when I can look for the ATT? I'm in Virginia. The Pearson guy said "4 weeks" but I had a flash back to the the construction workers saying "two weeks! two weeks!" in the movie The Money Pit....

Well, I got an update on my license situation. I graduated Dec 13, and supposedly my school was going to send out our affidavits of graduation to the Texas BON the next day, according to our little graduation checklist. Well, I called the state and they said everything was ok over there, they just needed my affidavit. However, when I called my school of nursing, they are mailing out the affidavits only just today! :uhoh3: So, while I feel better knowing that's what the hold up is, it's also irritating to know my school has been so slow about this stuff, especially when other Texas grads already have GN in hand and are scheduled for the NCLEX.

For those of you who are still working on the application process, my board told me that you want to pay Pearson first and then any applicable state board fees to speed up the process. They said something about how Pearson can be slow and doesn't always check everyday to see who has been approved by the state while the state checks as soon as they get the money to see if you paid Pearson. Our nursing school told us to do the opposite in our graduation checklist. :)

Adena- thats great you will have your att soon. i graduated, well took my last final 12/13. our officail graduation date isnt 1/15 though. our school will not approve us to do anything until we take an NCLEX review and submit 3000 questions. my review isnt over until 1/22. it sucks

Just got my ATT! Now I'm super nervous to even schedule my test!!! I seriously have butterflies in my stomach just from finally getting my ATT!:clown: I'm so excited!!!

Well, our final was the 10th of December, our pinning the 12th. I registered with Pearsonvue on the 14th.

Where is my ATT??

Hmmm....I called Continental testing just to make sure things were headed in the right direction. Apparently there is ONE indivudual who is responsible for that paperwork, and guess what.......she is on vacation from 12/21-1/3!

So, since the recent law change, we cant work as graduate nurses (IL), and I need a J-O-B!!!

It flat out boggles my mind that the only person that could deal with our paperwork would take 2 weeks off during a known graduation time without re-assigning her work load.

Oh, and how many dates/times do you think will be available in the near future when we finaly do get to schedule??

Sorry for the rant, I'm just broke, and frustrated.

YAY!!! I finally got mine today! Our school overnighted our graduation paperwork to the state a couple of days back and I finally got that blessed letter in my inbox today! When I opened it, I thought I heard angels sing! :-)

Wow, they don't let you work as GNs in IL??? What was their rationale for making that sort of change? I would personally go to my state rep and :trout: And your testing place would get a double :trout: :trout: :) There is so much stuff to be done during the GN period, like get oriented, that doesn't involve direct patient care.

From what I've seen in the Pearson site, there are lots of dates available, including weekends, so hopefully that will be the same with Continental. Your mileage may vary, because it just depends on the testing centers near you. I do know that when you get your ATT, schedule ASAP, because the centers do fill up fast. I'm lucky because I think I'll get to test close to me, rather than having to drive 111 miles out to Waco (nearest testing center outside the 2 in the DFW area).

Nope, we cant work as GNs, no part of an RN orientation either. The change was made over the summer, and we are the first graduating class to deal with it (from our school, I have no idea about anyone else) So while we HAD thought we would be making money in January, nope, not so. Many of the hospitals have moved new grad orientation to MARCH!!! Oh, the rationale is that the grads should concentrate on NCLEX, not a new job.

I graduated Dec 18th, 2007 from a VN program in California...this may be a dumb question but what is ATT letter? Is that the information they send to you regarding signing up for your NCLEX??? If so, I am still waiting for that to come in the mail as well...

ATT means authorization to test.

Once you send in your license application and register with Pearsonvue you have to get the ATT from the BON in order to schedule the test date.

I graduated on Dec 20th and I got it today!

I am taking my test on January 10th.
