Has anyone received their ATT letter yet who graduated this fall?

WOW! Congrats and Good Luck! How have you been reviewing???

The program director for my program handled everything...i think. All I remember doing was filling out the application, providing a 2x2 photo of myself, a check for $75, and fingerprinting...I think she was going to send everything for us...I"m really confused now...

Your program director most likely helped you with the application process for getting the license itself.

You still need to register for the exam (http://www.vue.com/nclex/). When you registered for the exam, make sure to provide an email address so that the ATT will be emailed to you.

Then, when the BRN has received all your paperwork (in California they need an affidavit for graduation but not transcripts to sit for boards), they will inform Pearson who will then email you an ATT. Once you have the ATT, then you may schedule a date for the test.

FYI, if you live in the Bay Area, there are no more test dates for Jan. Good luck.

Glad to help. My classmates and I were not informed too. I graduated 1/14 and received my ATT this AM. The BRN was waiting for the Dean to send out the letter verifying graduation. She did not send it out until 1/22.

I have bad experiences with administration and staff at our school. :angryfire We thought the BRN needed our transcripts before receiving our ATT. In addition, no one ever explained to us what an ATT was or that we had to register through Pearson.

I'm so glad that allnurses is here!! ;) Thanks guys!!

When am I supposed to register and pay for the NCLEX?

Do it now because it takes up to 72 for Pearsonvue to process. When you get the ATT you will enter that code and then you can schedule the actual test.

When am I supposed to register and pay for the NCLEX?

It takes 72 days to process? So if I register and pay for it now...it will take 72 days before I can take the NCLEX? I'm sorry but I am really lost...THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LIFE SAVER!!!

I'm sorry that's a typo I meant 72 hours....as in 3 days.

Well, I haven't received my ATT letter yet so I can wait to register and pay for the NCLEX through pearsonvue right?

Specializes in Pediatrics.

OKAY!!! I think I figured it out...Tell me if I'm wrong but this is the process...

1. Fill out application for license along with 2x2 photo ID and $75 application fee

2. Depending on how soon your school sends the information to the BON determines how soon you will receive your Letter of Eligibility to take the NCLEX

3. Once you've received your Letter of Eligibility...Register and Pay for the NCLEX via Peason Vue

4. Once you've Registered and Paid for the NCLEX, you will receive your ATT letter

5. Once you receive your ATT letter, you go back to the Pearson Vue website to Schedule a Test Date

6. Then BAM! You're all set!

Am I right? It seems like you need to register with pearson vue and pay for the nclex to have your ATT letter sent to you. But it seems like you cannot pay and register until you know you are "eligible." But.......I already know that I am eligible because well...duh, I graduated and have completed the program...So...my question now is....should I wait for that eligibility letter before I register and pay for the NCLEX??? Because what if, for some reason, the BON says I am not eligible? I still have paid for an NCLEX and can still use it once I become eligible, right???? Help me out guys....Thanks a bunch!

Specializes in L&D all the way baby!.

You have it right... At least that's how it goes in California. You can't even think about taking NCLEX until your SON has sent preliminary paperwork. Time from payment to receipt of ATT varies (took mine about 20 minutes via email, my girlfriend about 5 days - over a weekend)

Another pointer.. in California (and other states that do not participate in quick results - I assume) you will NOT know if you passed until the BRN has official transcripts. That's means if your school is slow (like mine) you will wait, however agonizingly.... obviously lame because you know that they know if you passed or not.

Good luck all!!

I graduated on Dec 8th and got the ATT via email 3 days later.
