Hi all. I finally got my ATT and scheduled my test for July 7. Does anyone have any advice?

I took the NCLEX-PN in Feb 2004. I got 85 questions and passed. I studied theSaunders RN book and Delmars PN book. My advice to use is #1 know you diets(religions, cultural, hypertension) and lab values. If you know these, you will be golden. I got a lot of teaching type questions also. Lots of OB(PIH, Hyperbili), some Peds(growth and development). Just think positive and tell yourself you are going to pass, get a good night sleep the night before, don't study the day before, and take a break during the test eventhough its optional.

I read through the questions using saunders, and that was all I did for the LPN. I had a lot of psychosocial questions, lab values, a few math, ob-peds, and some on diabetes, trach care, and tube feedings. The computer turned off at 85 and the two days following I was 100% sure that I failed, but passed! I recommend not studying a day or two before, and just relax.. go into the test with an open mind.

Good luck to you and let us know how it goes ! :)

I just took the NCLEX-PN yesterday and it shut off at 105. 2 of my classmates had their test turn off at 85 and another at 150. You never know. But I agree with the previous posts. Pick one book and study that b/c you will be too overwhelmed (like I was). Study your basics (there are alot of priority questions). Airway and saftey are usually before anything else. Know your culture considerations and heart meds and how to calculate intake and output (30mL = 1 oz). Good luck.
