Hi Fellow Nurses!
Is anyone else anxiously awaiting the 2017 cycle opening?
I have applied several times and praying that 2017 is my year. I'm tier 1 - not faculty and not an NP.
Is anyone else out there?

If your facility has a high Mental Health score does that make it a CSF? Curious to know. Thanks!
RN Tier 1 HPSA for MH 17 D/I 160% ish. I work for the Department of Veterans Affairs. 2nd time applying. I was able to automatically transfer my loans this year last year i had to manually enter them, and I could have messed up. So I assume RN's only get 30% of the money. Based on this below not much chance for me, so I am just going to not dwell on it and wait until summer time. I don't know if I am DSH or CSF. I am obviously a CSF as I have a MH score, but i don't know if that means that only 15% of the money is allocated for me, or if I am also a CSF and DSH, crazy to me. Funding for the FY 2017 NURSE Corps LRP will be allocated as follows: Up to 50 percent will be made available for NPs. Up to 20 percent will be made available for nurse faculty. Among the remaining 30 percent of NURSE Corps LRP funding:  Up to 15 percent will be made available for Base applicants (RNs and APRNs, excluding NPs) working at DSHs or public hospitals.  Up to 15 percent will be made available for Base applicants (RNs and APRNs, excluding NPs) working at all other types of CSFs.

Thank you! I actually called them and they said the system would automatically remove any that didn't apply to the correct time period. I guess as far as the extra class, I'll just have to take my chances. I took prerequisites that would apply to two different nursing programs each having different requirements because the one I really wanted is extremely competitive. Thank goodness I was accepted to both and got in the one I wanted. That does however mean that there are a few that did not directly apply to the one I chose. Idk how they will handle that??
Resubmitted last night after catching an error. Vigilance. Time is almost up!

Yeah I also had to resubmit. My school changed the name after I graduated. So my transcripts say the old name and the loan documents uploaded the new name. Glad I caught it ...1 week prior...the school had to provide a letter with the official dates and such. Good luck to,everyone. Now is the waiting game
Well that was fast - mine already says "under review". Anyone else? After 3 attempts I am just SOOOO hopeful í ½í¸¬í ½í¸‡í ½í¹í ¼í¿»
I believe they all change to under review after the deadline. Good luck!

Thank you! I'm so thankful that I have a passion for Nursing because I'd be tempted to give my degrees back to knock out my student loans! ...I'm just kidding...kind of.Luckily, my D/I ratio just increased to 145% because I was out part of last year after a shoulder surgery and made less money. Hopefully, that will put me in a good place to finally receive this wonderful offer. We shall see. Good luck to everyone!!!

I was out for part of last year after having a baby, and thought my D/I ratio would increase... however, when I looked at my submitted application, my employer POC input my standard yearly pay on my employment verification, not subtracting the 3 months I was out without pay. Super bummed, I was hoping that would give me a leg up.

Does anyone know the earliest we'd hear if we made the cut? I am feeling so impatient!

Last year, I believe people began hearing around July that they HAD received an offer. I don't think they actually tell you you HAVEN'T made the cut until whatever the date is in the info packet (September? October?).

I know last year some people had their credit checked in April which was an indicator you were still being considered for the award.

This is my first year applying as an NP. I applied and submitted the first day then realized I made a mistake a couple of days before the deadline and had to resubmit. I'm afraid because other posts seem to think it's first come first serve, but I sent in an email and they stated that they review them all before making awards. I'm just anxious! I really need some help. My score is 17 I think and a ratio of 180%!
