Your post made me smile. I remember the days when my husband would come home from work and ask me if I'd brushed my hair. Brushed my hair, heck it was a good day if I'd showered by the time he got home, lol.
Congratulations on the work you have done so far, and good luck with classes next year.
Haha, I had my last clinical last week. My final exam is tomorrow and I was finally able to shave my legs over the weekend! It's funny because I will finally have time to talk to my friends on the phone. Usually, I can't answer their calls at all or we're playing phone tag because I am studying lol. Oh and don't ask me to go shopping, either I'm broke or studying. Finally, a break! However, I kind of feel as though I'll be "rusty" when it comes to clinicals because of such a long winter break.

haha take two, God bless husbands (and wives) of nursing students. They put up with some serious crap from hairy legs to digital disimpaction stories at dinner. haha!! thank you
I'm lucky enough to have hubby who went through medical school
You need something more than digital desimpaction to scare that gay!!!

Okay, nothing profound to say here. Just want to say that I finished my first semester of my RN program today- AND I CAME OUT IN ONE PIECE! Very proud of my class mates and very thankful to have great (for the most part) instructors. I had a wonderful clinical location this semester with nurses who were happy to answer all the dumb questions and patiently walk me through the little things like pulling meds and piggy-backing IVs...Don't get me wrong, I haven't spoken to my friends in several months, and I don't remember the last time I got more than 7 hours of sleep or shaved my legs (
). I now know that I can start an IV, which works wonders for how "nursey" a person feels, haha... I worked my butt off, but I made it through, and I'm so excited to be one semester closer to being one of you.
Thanks for all the insight you've provided me into the field so far. Now I'm off to try to enjoy break because next semester will be here before I know it...
