Hello all,
Today I have been called in for my first drug test. Yesterday around 4pm I ate 2 whole eggs, (I just like eggs), and checked this morning to find I will be tested today option 1! I ate a yogurt and I am going to try and not use the bathroom or drink water until I can test around 7am! Wish me luck!
Sincerely, M2185

When this is all over, you get to look back at these postings and have such gratitude. Hang in there. You can do this. I remember 8 months into support group a group of 4 nurses talking about their higher power through all this Diversion experience. I butted in and said, "sorry to interrupt, but you can take this higher power and shove it". For now, our higher power is FirstLab and our DEC (a California thing). Only when we finish will we able to see our true selves, so for now let's just get through this one day at a time. I look back at that conversation and I cringe, but I meant every word of it. There's not many that hang around the rooms of Bill after our mandatory program. We do what we do to save our livelihood. I'm grateful I'm still going 5 years after marbling out. I'm grateful for allnurses that I get to peek into your stories and gives me inspiration. Grateful I'm still a registered nurse.

Things must have changed since I was in the program. we were never told we couldn't eat eggs or yogurt. We were also never told what test we would be getting!

I got out 2012. About 2009 they suggested this because too many dilute urines and so many of us upset because the dilutes were negative but we were treated as positive.
Thank you dagobah,
I'm taking it day by day...it's the only way I can do it. Otherwise I start to feel overwhelmed and depressed. The NA meetings are a huge help and I'm learning a lot about myself! I'm going to keep pushing!
But what does Yogurt and eggs have to do with Dilute Specimens I remember they advised to not drink too much water before testing but that was it.
The creatinine levels I believe. They are supposed to be at a certain level I heard...

Eggs would raise creat, how high your creat is does not matter, it's how low. Eggs are actually recommended per TPAPN to raise creat and avoid dilute. If your creat is too low they will then test specific gravity, if that is below normal as well you are dilute. I ran below normal on creat and barely made normal on the specific gravity due to too much coffee. Now, I limit coffee and keep my protein intake ample including eggs as a source.

Protein raises blood creat levels, not urine levels. Although we were also advised to eat protein 4 hours prior to testing to help avoid dilutes, as well.
Apparently caffeine itself also isn't really a diuretic. At least according to sources linked from a reddit thread I was reading.

Juice is pretty good (OJ, grapefruit) to be sure your urine isn't see through. 2 hours before.
Thank you TouchingAllOceans,
I will keep that in mind! So far everyone I have had 2 urine and one hair test. It has been 7 days since my last screen so I'm surprised but grateful! Still taking it one day at a time!
