  1. Congratulations!! It’s an amazing feeling!!
  2. Sorry for the late response! I hope it is all working out! I do not remember the panel but I do believe they test for alcohol. Good luck!
  3. Thank you! In the beginning of my probation,(diversion for me), I did not work as a nurse. I worked at a different job that was not in the medical field. I started working in the nursing field again about 2 years in. My employers treated me well, did not judge and were fine actually! Sorry for the late response! ?
  4. Thank you so much!!
  5. Well guys after 3 and a half years of diversion in CA I have officially completed the program!! It was a long program but it’s possible! They did test the crap out of me the last month, (almost $900 dollars a hair and a blood), but I’m done!! Thanks for everyone who supported me on here! Good luck to all of you going through it! You can do it! ??
  6. Good luck! Just be careful with what you eat, (avoid foods cooked in alcohol for instance), just to be safe, stay positive and set a reminder to check your app or call everyday! The physical exam shouldn’t be a problem! Sorry for the late response. Staying on top of everything makes a huge difference. It feels like a long time but you will make it! ?
  7. I usually get tested once a week. Every few months I will get tested back to back however! So 3x a week is possible but not common for me!
  8. Hey there! Goodluck! In the beginning, (my second month), of the program in CA I did have a hair test. However I am now in the final 6 months of my program, (almost three and a half years later), and have not had a hair test since! So it seems to be rare but possible! Take care and once again good luck, you got this!

Who knows with them! Had a dilute urine last week for the first time and now getting a blood test today. Had my first hair test during my first month in the program! All have been negative! The dilute urine is probably the reason for the blood for me. Good luck! They are indeed expensive!
  13. Just wanted to give an update...I have found a job as an RN case manager that is full time with benefits, an hour for lunch,(allowing me to drug test), and I get off in time to make meetings! I'm so excited and feel so fortunate!
  14. Hello, I'm sorry to hear about the situation but keep your head up! I'm from California and it is a tough program! I just started in June. I have to attend a meeting every day plus nurse support group once a week. I was ordered to go to intensive outpatient but no inpatient. I recently had my license activated again, (yay)! But now I am looking for work with restrictions. The first step in CA is no direct patient care. Since I was a brand new nurse, (1 month of working), it will be hard for me to find a case management job but I'm not giving up! I also am test 4-5 times a month at a minimum cost of $62.50 per test plus collection site fees. I was fortunate enough to find a part time job but you may be able to collect disability! It is definitely rough at first and apparently continues to be, but you can get through this! Good luck and stay strong!
