First Day of LPN school

I am so excited to start this journey and focus only on school. I have well hydrated myself because it's super hot here, deleted my FB account, rested well all summer to prepare myself for success and complete these 11 months. I am no longer nervous this morning, but very confident as if these months are going to roll by and I will do fine as long as I study and prepare myself. Well time to get up be blessed everyone!!!!

Congrats to you on your new journey!!! I start on thursday & IM SUPER EXCITED!!! Gonna deactivate my fb so i wont b tempted to log on it by phone or computer & have rested well these past 2 weeks & am ready to BE SUCCESSFUL!!! NO EXCUSES, NO DISTRACTIONS!! Good luck. I can't wait to start my journey. Because I hear that the people you are with are like you're family in your nursing class. It's no longer about competition really, but to help each other through class and to get licensed. Can't wait to get my experience.

Yes, that's a good start, I did the same thing although I don't post updates or comments on Facebook I used to still browse, after deleting my account I found that it was really a distraction and how much time I wasted. Even for those soaps I like to watch I had to stop and when it comes to extra things period I would tell myself that, "I can always catch up with it later but I can't make up for failing tests!" Good luck in your journey!! It sounds as if you are really ready. I just graduated two weeks ago and is awaiting to take the NCLEX. Time is going to fly by. I still remember the first day and how nervous I was, but by God's grace I made all B's!! If I can do it you can also. Keep the faith b/c you will need it in nursing school!!!

Yes. Sacrifice for school. I am cutting out the cable movie channels this week. And when my contract ends I am cutting cable. I have netflix and Hulu if I need to watch something on break.

It sounds like you are truly ready and that's awesome!! I deleted my FB acct when I was getting my AAS in medical assisting and it was such a good idea. I start my LPN program Sept 10 and I am ready!! I currently have nothing to read in my house except my LPN textbooks and it will stay that way, I just wish my main textbook wasn't so heavy! I wish you the best of luck through your journey!!
