Today was my first day of biology, and it wasnt what i expected it to be. I knew it wasnt gonna be easy, but i didnt think it was gonna be this challenging:bugeyes:. It was very interesting though!! I always liked science in high school. I am aiming for a B+ the least. Is anyone taking Biology if so please let know so we can compare notes. And if anyone already took Biology please give me some tips on how to get the B+ i want so dearly:redpinkhe. After this i plan on taking Anatomy. So Any Infomation is greatly appreciated.
:balloons: Im so excited. Allnurses Unite:clpty:
I ended biology with an A! I was certain I was going to make a B but I pulled thru and got the A. It wasn't an easy course by any means in my opinion. There were people in my class who were "praying" for a C.
I'm hoping to pull an A in AP as well.
Good luck to those who will be taking AP next!
Hi all,
I am happy to report I made an A in Biology!
Psychology was a breeze and I also made an A in there. However, I made a B in Art Appreciation because the teacher decided to have a couple of temper tantrums in the middle of the semester (what a weirdo)
I am not taking any classes this summer because my hubby wants to go somewhere on vacation and as he is paying our bills I can't say no (like I would!) I intend to use the A&P book that my friend lent me to start studying on my own ahead of time before I take it in the fall semester.
Well done everyone!
Hi everyone,
I took A&P 1 already and now I am going to take general biology this summer starting on June 9th. I took it last summer and I was pregnant with morning sickness and I eventually withdrew from the class. The professor I had then was horrible and I did not want to take her this time around. Unfortunately I am stuck with her once again because during the summer there are only 2 biology professors and her schedule is the one that works for me. Man, she really sucks and I am so nervous and terrified when it comes to this class:crying2:. When I mention who I have for biology people are like why in the world are you taking it with her.(I just don't have a choice) and plus this is my last class needed for the RN program. I have a lot riding on this class and I really need to get an A. Please pray for me because on top of this my husband is currently in Iraq and I am taking care of our 4 year old daughter and our 3 month old son.
I'm one of those people that left the university mid-way for a few years and then went back to school after a hiatus. Biology, I thought was so hard, but I did it: got an A! It definitely helps that the Biology faculty at my school is EXCELLENT. But other than that, just keep up with the reading and understanding the main concepts and you will do well.
I am in Biology right now and got a 70 on my first exam. I studied three times harder and all weekend long for my second exam (today) and I felt really good about until I took it. I'm waiting on the results, but there was a handful of questions I wasn't too sure about. Tomorrow is my first lab and I really don't understand half of the work in there. I'm starting to feel like I'm just not smart enough for this. It's so depressing to see my peers sailing along while I sit there utterly dumbfounded. How can I become a nurse with science being so hard for me? All these plans and now what? I study so hard, but it just doesn't compute.

Four months later and I am back to post my final grade for Biology. I achieved the B+ I aimed for. I am very pleased with my grade. Technically Biology isnt a requirement for my nursing program, it is only a pre-requisite for Anatomy + Physiology which is one of the classes i need for my nursing program. For A+P I am aiming for a A.
Anyone else wanna share their grade? Congrats to all:redpinkhe
