First day of BIOLOGY

Today was my first day of biology, and it wasnt what i expected it to be. I knew it wasnt gonna be easy, but i didnt think it was gonna be this challenging:bugeyes:. It was very interesting though!! I always liked science in high school. I am aiming for a B+ the least. Is anyone taking Biology if so please let know so we can compare notes. And if anyone already took Biology please give me some tips on how to get the B+ i want so dearly:redpinkhe. After this i plan on taking Anatomy. So Any Infomation is greatly appreciated.

I have to write a scientific paper and having an problem coming up with an idea. I have to ask a question of "Why...something..." then hypothesize, experiment, and conclusion.

Anyone out there who's creative in thought that could help me?

i wish i could be of some help to you, but i just started my biology class and i just had my first lab class. im still on the microscopes. im pretty sure if you ask around throughout the forum someone will help you out. good luck :bugeyes:

I recently had my first bio exam the other day. I got an 84. I was nervous to take the test since that was our first one. I wasnt sure if i was absorbing the information that was being taught, but i guess i was. Im proud of my 84 next time i will aim for a 90. I have a lab exam in a week now im really nervous about that, cause i really dont understand the lab work at all. But i will take this weekend to make myself understand cause i have to make sure i pass that test. Anyone take their first lab exam, who wish to share their scores.

Im in biology right now also...it just doesnt seem to interest me talking about plant cells and all that lol. I started 2nd week of Jan and we are on Ch 9..meeting 2x a week. So far I am doing good though we have had 3 quizzes, 2 lecture exams and a lab exam. Waiting to hear the results of my lab exam...I feel like I did good!

What topics are you all on?

We just completed our second exam...i was really nervous to take because i had been out sick with pneumonia. I actually did better than I thought...got a 92%.

We haven't had any lab exams...the instructor i have makes the exams for both lecture and lab as 1 exam..which i'm actually happy about. I think I would be really stressed out if I had to take an exam for lab as well.

We just started on chapter 9....cellular respiration...oh fun times! lol.

We are on the structures of cells right now. I wish our lab and lecture exams we combined into one.:bugeyes: I cant wait to take my lab exam and see what grade i get aiming for a 100 Wish me luck

Way to go on your test results Dream!! Yeah!!!

2 months left...then onto another course. I just registered for Summer I and Fall yesterday. I was nervous meeting with the advisor but knew that the sooner I got registered the better off I would be to get the classes I needed.

Summer I: Anatomy and Physiology I

Fall: Anatomy and Physiology II & Anthropology class that satisfies the humanties course i need to take.

The advisor also stated that I'm ready to apply for nursing school at the end of July. I'm sooo excited but NERVOUS at the same time. I can't believe how fast its going! ahhhhh!!!

Congrats! I am considering taking A&P I this summer but Im a bit reluctant since its only an 8 week course that meets twice a week :eek: I just don't know if I could pull it off...I hear its a lot of work and memorization and my summers are super busy with my 2 sons playing 2-3 baseball games each and practices every day but Wed and Sun. I have a few more weeks to think about it and I really want to do it..Im just a little afraid that I wouldnt have the time to dedicate to studying that it requires in such a short course.

i too am scared to take the a&p this summer with it being an 8 week class. we have to meet 4 times a week (m-th)....:bugeyes:. with the schedule you'll have with your sons..i can completely understand being reluctant to take the class during the summer. good luck to you as well. :nuke:
