First Choice Nurse; Second ???

Published

Most of us, most of the time, love being nurses. Secretly...if money wasn't really an issue...and you did need to work somewhere doing something...what "do you want to be when you grow up?"

If money was no object, I'd actually want to be an administrative assistant - someone's secretary! Answering phones, greeting people, stuff like that...crazy, I know.

What about you?

And please....sincere posts only. Let's keep it clean.

Horse trainer. I'm fostering a rescue horse right now and the time I spend with him goes by fast because I love it!

Oh, fun thread! My husband would like to have a food truck and sell street tacos.

I think I would want to be a vet tech. Or maybe work at a bakery as the bread baker. But not if it meant I had to get up at 3 am. But I like the idea of just baking bread all day and not talking to anyone.

Marine biologist!!!

Ok...can we please stay away from the Media industry and the near-naked employment options? I can't believe that I need to state this...really people...

Thank you.

Totally ruined it for me on page one. 😢

And then I would have to say farethewell to my dear friend LadyFree28. As a clown, you would petrify me.

I'm a rather twisted individual. I love clowns because they scare people.

Identical twins are a different story. They scare the $#!+ out of me.

I'd probably volunteer professionally as a NICU cuddler.

In the original areas to implement kangaroo care, and now others like them, people actually do this professionally. Since research shows better growth, temp and glucose regulation when babies are skin to skin, they'll bring in some skin to snuggle preemies. You should totally do this!

Remind me to PM you a pic of my twins sometime. Muhahahaha

I love this whole entire thread! Thank you, OP, for starting it!

I would be a lifelong student. I'd take all of the degree programs that interest me here, then when I get bored, I'd find some place abroad, apply to a university there, and keep going until I was bored there. And I'd help women in a third world country birth their babies. Maybe just for a little while, though. I don't know how long I could stay strong emotionally in that environment. And, somewhere in all that, I'd go be a tomb raider. Maybe that could be part of one of my degrees.

Back to the actual thread, I'm flag I'm not the only one who would like to be a mortician or funeral director. It's like taking care of someone on their very last journey.

That should say GLAD. I'm not good at proofreading on my phone :(

If money wasn't an option, I'd want to do so many different things:

Spelunkologist (cave researcher)- I'd love to go into public restricted caves, such as Lechuguilla (The Giant Crystal Project : Lechuguilla Cave, New Mexico)

Marine Biologist

Open my own bakery

Author- I love to write poems, short stories, children stories, and want to write novels.

I'd love to go to school and learn as many foreign languages as I can

Travel around the world and volunteer

Learn to be a chef from Gordon Ramsey

Work with injured marine wildlife to help them prior to being released back into the ocean

Own a horse stable/rescue that both provides regular horseback riding training, and also helps special needs children/teenagers

Astronaut

Cardiothoracic/Neurosurgeon

Forensic examiner

Oh, the ideas...
