Ah, is that so?

Okay.

I still have a question regarding with one of the requirements for CABON:

*In the Fingerprint Card, what race will I print in the box since only one letter fits the space?

Thanks in advance!

just navigate the board of nursing you wish to apply for nclexrn. you can order the fingerprint card there. it is free. they will mail it to you, when you get it, fill it up and go to nbi for fingerprinting.

is it advisable to submit the fingerprint cards even before graduating? since it will take 3-4 months for the FBI to forward the result to the BON

i strongly beleive that you need to graduate first, then you can request for licensure application in the state of your choice. you get your fp card request in any bon website of your choice. you need to have that fp card filled up by nbi and then mail it along with your application, pictures, copy of your diploma, local license if there is any, and your payments. what you need most is your diploma and tor which should be fill out by your nursing school and mailed directly to the bon of your choice. processing of fingerprint is not your biggest worry right now. try to finish your degree first. don't rush. take your time.

hi guys...i need your help...im posting in behalf of my girlfriend..she received mail from NM BON yesterday, inside was her fingerprint which we passed 4 months ago, they sent it back because of an error...they enclose 2 new cards...what should we do?, NM BON already told us that our file was complete and we've registered at pearson vue..thanks...enlighten us please...

They will let her sit for the NCLEX exam, but they will not issue her a license until they have a new set of fingerprint cards. They need clearance first before they can issue her a license.

She needs to get those cards completed and resubmitted. No other choice there.

Please do not do a thing until you have graduated, not sure who is telling you that it takes three to four months to get the results forwarded to the BON, that is just not so.

You need to submit the fingerprints with your application. Without a completed set of transcripts, they will not forward them on. You do not send them to the FBI, you include them with your application.

And as mentioned above, focus on graduating first. Nothing is going to get things done any quicker for you. And then you have a retrogression in place to deal with as well.

Just want to clarify things, as written here in the instruction for completion of fingerprint card.

instruction #2

2. It takes three to four months for the NEVADA DEPARTMENT PUBLIC SAFETY and FBI to process the fingerprint cards -- PLAN AHEAD!

anyway here's i got from their email:

You may want to submit the fingeprint cards a few months before you graduate, but you don't want to submit them too early, as the fingerprint results are good for only 6 months if you don't have an open (submitted) application.

maybe it works different for nevada, since the application is sent to the bon, while the fingerprint card is send to the department of public safety.

anyway, thanks for you response

You are out of the country, we are telling you what to do. It is your choice as to what you follow. But if you have problems later on, please do not come and complain.

All of us here have told you what to do. You have no idea if there will be any issues with your application in the first place, and again fingerprints are only good for six months. You still have to complete the CES and that cannot be done until you graduate, so you are looking at things being quite tight in time.

I would not waste the money as they will not look at your application without the CES. And that takes a couple of months to complete.

As I keep stating over and over again: When you try to take shortcuts, it turns and bites you on the butt. Have seen it happen everytime here.

There is still a retrogression in place, so not sure why all of the need to get things done super fast, you are still looking at a long time do even possibly get to the US to begin work. All that wish to work in the US are not going to be able to do so.

zoolander, i don't know how to explain it to you that you can grasp it as simply as you can...when you say dept. of public safety, that means it is a division of something not directly related to fbi..now, if you want to send your fingerprint to them, go ahead, and nobody is stopping you. you have to remember, that whatever you see in the website of nv bon, does not apply to foreign grad like you( in this case, you are not even a nursing grad yet). foreign grads have different requirements than with new grads from here. like suzanne4 said: if you encounter problems later on, don't come complaining, because we warned you already.

perhaps this will enlighten you: http://www.nursingboard.state.nv.us/license/international%20additional%20information.pdf

Dept of Public Safety is the police dept here in the US, it is not the FBI at all.

And what was mentioned above, requirements that are on the website of a state BON pertain to an American nurse that is applying. Foreign grads have separate requirements that need to be met, and you have to look for those.
