And I passed!

I got my license in the mail today and cried for a good half hour. Took boards last Monday (the 23rd). Got 265 questions, was exhausted, convinced I failed, but lo and behold... I passed!

YAY!! I am officially a registered nurse!

Congrats to you! What made you feel you failed? So many people feel that way, and pass in the end, to a beginning of a career!

Congrats on your new path!:up:

CONGRATULATIONS RN!!! There is no better feeling in the world :).

Way to go on surviving 265, I admire your stamina. Thankfully God only gave me what I could handle and that was 75 questions... But, this took me 2 hours! I'm super OCD about eliminating answers and being thorough.

How long did the 265 take you??

I felt like I failed because it seemed like every question just had me stumped. Seriously, it would pop up and I'd think to myself, "huh?" and wonder if I really did go to school for this stuff or if I was taking the wrong test! It was SO hard. And of course, as soon as I passed about the 130th question, I felt like I was failing it and answering the questions wrong, so I started second guessing myself. I think the key is just breaking down the question and really thinking about what you do know, which is what I tried to do after I read the question and thought I had no clue. Granted, after that, and even though I passed, I still don't feel like I know much!! :chuckle

congrats!

i'm very proud u persevered through the whole 265 questions!!!

unfortunately..the first time i took the exam...my mind basically "quit" after 150...i was so convinced that i already failed that i pretty much didnt give a thought and just clicking whatever till i hit 265...

my stupid thinking was that people with 265 were bound to fail anyways..that is......until i logged on to allnurses.com and found out many passed! then i wished i gave it my all then :-(

but its ok though....

i am actually happy i took it twice bcoz it made me more motivated and the content really stuck with me....im very confident with my knowledge now....the extra 45 days of studying really helped me to prepare myself

it made me realize...its better to flunk nclex and motivate urself to make sure u know your info very well and pass this time

then mess up big time on the floor and maybe have your license taken away......
