I'm starting out in the online program for Azusa Pacific, and then planning to transfer to their "in person" campus for the RN to BSN program. The state of California Board of Registered Nursing lists them as and accredited school with a NCLEX pass rate of 87%, but California has not updated its site for 2014 pass rates.
My question is, can I take the NCLEX after I finish my associates degree? There is a local hospital, the one I where I would love to work, that has a new grad program for clinicals, could I make my own arrangement for clinicals???

Wait, I'm confused. Your associate for an ADN program is purely online? Is there a clinical component? You should call the BON in your state to make sure you can sit for the NCLEX if you graduate from your school's program.

You couldn't take the NCLEX without doing a clinical portion of the nursing program.

You can take the nclex once you graduate nursing school. If you don't go to nursing school, you can't do clinicals or nursing coursework or graduate or take the nclex or work at a hospital as a nurse.
RN- BSN programs are for people who have already been through nursing school at a 2 year college or diploma program.
Thank you everyone. I misread something on another site and started to panic. I thought it said I had to pass the NCLEX in order to do clinicals. So I registered here to find out. Then I called my adviser and got it all straightened out.
No problem! Good luck!
