FGCU Fall 2015

Hello everyone ! I'm new to all nurses. I haven't seen a thread posted yet for FGCU fall 2015 so I thought I'd start one even though we still have a while until applications are due (Feb 1st). My stats are as follows: GPA 3.6, adjusted Teas 85, program percentile 90. I hear they recalculate your GPA for the nursing program so I think that my GPA may be a lot lower than that since I've retaken a few classes. I'm considering retaking the Teas to make myself a more competitive candidate just in case my GPA turns out to be a lot lower. How many of you are thinking of applying ? If so what are your stats ?

Still waiting --- keeping my fingers crossed to have something in tomorrow's mail! I'm an hour and a half from Orlando and Tampa, so we shall see.

For those interested in living on campus .... I called the housing department today and they said they are still accepting applications for transfer students but you may end up on a waiting list.

I found student friendly housing near FGCU. Individual leasing, your own room and bathroom and utilities are all included. Cheaper than student housing at the school. Gocoastalvillage.com

Congrats to those that got thier letters!!! I'm in Jacksonville so I assume I won't get it for a bit grrr. I have a 3.67 GPA and 81.3 on teas so fingers crossed. I also applied to unf but they don't send out interview invites until may. Anybody do the fgcu orientation Yet? I didn't wanna do it until I knew for sure if I was in or not.

Hi! I was just checking this out and saw you applied to UNF for fall. I have about the same stats as you. I applied for both unf and fgcu and was accepted in both programs. I chose UNF, so if you have any questions let me know! I have a feeling you will get in! Good luck

I was accepted into fgcu. Have the feeling I won't be getting into unf since it's more competitive my pre req GPA is like a 3.6 and I read they only invite 3.7 3.8 to interviews.

Don't count yourself out! My pre reqs was a 3.67 and TEAS was a 79.3. That's just the average, there are always people above and below that. Obviously it's totally up to you!
