Yes...I made it through my first semester with just Bs, but I'm glad that I did it! Any others out there who just made it through their first semester?

I will be honest....it took me a whole week to recover from receiving a "B". I set out at the beginning of the semester with one goal....balance family and school, and that a "B" would be wonderful. I was cruising along most of the semester at a 85-86%. Then, the last couple weeks, things just began to click. I missed only two on my final. Two too many. I missed an "A" in the class by 2 questions....ugh. And, our first semester is all one class, 11 credits. So, that is 3.0 times 11....ugh. And, "A's" are 91%, not 90%, and they do not round......ugh. i finished the class with a 90.5%....a "B"......ugh.

But now, one week later.....I am fine. And, remember back that my family did not suffer my loss. In the years to come, which will be important......the four months that I did not neglect my husband and kids or the "B".

Yes...I made it through my first semester with just Bs,

Congrats. I'm sure many folks would be happy with just Bs. Keep up the good work;)

yay!! I was worried that I was the only B student out there but I did manage to get 2 A's and 3 B's so very proud of each of you and myself too=) starting second semester June 6th

You should be proud! Afterall, C's get degrees!

What do you call an RN that finished last in class?

RN. ;)

Worry about how well you care for your patients, not a grade on an exam based on some book reading. After you're in, no one cares about your B's or A's.

Good job all! I'll be happy with B's!

My semester has just begun, we have already completed 2 tests and a quiz...we have our next battery of tests next week. With that said...I have an A in nsg selfcare 1 and a high B in nsg selfcare 2 (our school has adopted Orems selfcare deficit theory as their concepual framework). Anywho...I am elated with the grades I have attained so far....my school is working our assess off and we are still managing to do well in my opinion.

I realized after 1st semester that striving for an A would interfere with my studying and it stressed me out too much. I could not eat, could not sleep, could not study, could not function as a person. LOL!! so, made a pact with myself not to strive for an A. just strive to pass and understand the materials from now on. When I don't stress out, I do much better on tests. LOL!! need to focus on passing the program, passing the NCLEX and becoming a great nurse!!

B here! I'm glad I didn't get weeded, this was a painful and intentionally difficult term!
