FCCJ Summer 2009, anyone?

Published

Well, it's never too soon to start thinking about this. Anyone else thinking of applying for Summer 2009?

I'm hanging in there.... I'm just hoping I get into nights/weekends!!!

Yes SummerHopeful that is a good thing. I think it's going to go by fast...tomorrow is the 5th. I am just trying to keep my mind occupied. I am taking Medical Terminology so that's helping...alot of memorizing.

I know its bad to say (with all of the people that are out of work) but I can't wait to quit my job!

Hi justblessed09, I am also in med term, Thursdays at north side, are you in my class?

No Huckfin I am taking it online.

^^ selfish bump for those of us waiting! :D

Hey.... I thought of something while I was on the website today..... I know they have me 'dual enrolled' for AA and AS (nursing). Program admit flag of "N" on the AS....so I wonder if they update that before they send out the letters?!?! That would be cool to see that flag flip!

Ahh noo I think they don't switch it until after you start. lol I was wondering the same thing too. I got my letter last year on Feb. 20th. So hopefully you guys will too!! =)

:yeah:Thanks Ms Whitney!!!! That means we only have about 10 days more to wait!

No problem. I would suggest that once you get your packet, you make a day out of it. You can do all of it in one day if you time it right. You don't have to buy the pants from their uniform shop; most of the girls bought theirs from scrub shops and liked it better because they look better and are more comfortable plus they know it is their size. The fingerprint place is hard to find, so call ahead to get an accurate description (it is not labeled at all). All I remember is an iron clad fence and it was about a block before the Burger King.

Yeah, I have noticed there are quite a few "unmarked" places around town making things hard to find! LOL

Since I lost my job a little over a week ago, I can definitely take a day and get it done!

speaking of packet. can you tell us which shots we'll have to get or titers before we can enter nursing school. can we waive any of them for the time being?

You can only waive Hep. B. You have to get MMR and chicken pox. And I am pretty sure that is it, but their may be one more. My doctor's office screwed mine all up and didn't do a Hep. B one and then lost the results of the others so it took me a second to think of them, so I might be missing one.

Ohh TB and I think Tetorifice too. Yeah, those are it.
