FCCJ Summer 2009, anyone?

Hello everyone! I am a first time user. I know I am not on the right post and am sure this question has been asked many times but here it goes does anyone know the price and length of fccj RN program. I am hoping to apply for the spring 2010 class. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Have fun guys tomorrow!! It is long, but explore the campus a little bit. If you go down towards 95, there are a ton of fast food restaurants.

How was orientation?? I was gonna go, but I had my last Peds clinical that day. My friends in FNSA were there and I think you guys should join. It really is a lot of fun.

Are you guys having another orientation in about a week?

Orientation was ok. Talk about a wealth of information. I got home last night and was seriously re-thinking this program. It's gonna be rough. That said, I just registered and I'm gonna try to go get my books today. Can't believe we have 2 tests on May 4th!

Yeah orientation was a lot of information! Two tests on May 4th thats not a long time to study at all and I still have to go to work all next week- talk about stress before the program even starts. lol

Misswhitney- do you have any feedback for us on that first dosage calc and medical term test??

Is anyone registered for Section 3 clinicals at memorial??

Hi there. I am applying for the Fall. First of all Congrats to all ofyouo that got accepted! How exciting! My question is does anyone know what nights and weekends consist of? Is it Saturday and Sunday or just one of them? Does anyone know what night class hours are?? Like 6pm or 9pm etc.??? Any ideas? Also in past posts I saw that they might at Deerwood. Which is much closer for me, is this true?

Uhhh I did not like them. The dosage calc was fairly easy, I just froze because if you do not pass that test, you fail out of the program. If they use the same one, the last question is worth 20 pts I believe and if you mess up one part, you mess up the whole problem. But do not stress yourself out about the dosage calc. It is really easy and you will know how to do it.

now the med term is a little different. I actually scored higher on med term than I did dosage calc and no one in my class failed med term. But I thought it was a little bit harder. They ask you really easy questions but some of them can trick you up. What materials are they telling you to study?

Hey Koloa27,

I'm just about to start the evening/weekend program. We have testing at the North campus on Mondays, but the rest of our classes run from 6-9pm in the evenings at the Deerwood location. Two of our courses are hybrid so I'm not sure how often we will be on site for those. We have class/clinicals on Sat. from 8-1:30 but that's just for this semester. I'm not sure where the next evening/weekend group will start (meaning Deerwood or North). Hope this helps.

Sorry I didn't meet anyone at orientation. I sat with the 5 people from my Micro class that got in. Anyway...I picked #68 in the lottery which sucked, but I managed to get a decent schedule and clinicals at Baptist. I'm in section 6. Anyone else?

well shswimchik I guess I will see u in clsss. Hope we do well on the first two tests! I am excited to start and find out more about all of the classes. :)
