Well, it's never too soon to start thinking about this. Anyone else thinking of applying for Summer 2009?
I took the NAT and only got 84 points out of it. The time constraints really messed with me. I will be applying to the program with 191 points.
I feel kind of confident with the 191 points. I hope I make it in the program. Does anyone know what the cut off points for previous semesters were?
Actually, once nights and weekends people are selected, there is a lottery to decide the clinical sites, but classes are together for both sections.. the only difference is that the people w/ lower lottery numbers get to pick their sites first, in case one hospital is closer to them than another.
I think the Arco book (Nursing School and Allied Health Entrance Exams Arco Master the Nursing & Allied Health Programs Entrance Exams) is really good. You can find a copy at FCCJ bookstore or try the public library. The public library also has a few other books. I used them and they helped to jog my memory a little.
Do any of you know a good site or book or something to study the NAT questions?
I just turned in my application today. I'm hoping to get in during the summer. I applied with 188.7 points......i am soo nervous because that's probably not enough. When I went to north campus the lady i gave my application to said that the cutoff for last summer(08) was 189 and for spring(09) was 183. Its always higher during the summer and it may be even higher this summer....If I don't get in I guess I gotta try again 4 fall!!! How many points are ya'll applying with??????...if u don't mind telling
Cherc88, the way I see it, the numbers change every semester, depending on what the numbers are of everyone who applies. I'm not sure exactly how they decide where the cut-off is. So my theory is...we'll know when we know. I'm just trying to enjoy the free time I have before the letters arrive in the mail.
I wish you the best...hope you get in!

Not sure if that will be good since I still need Micro and Algebra. I have decent grades right now, A's and B's. I hope it works out; if not I am sure I can ride it out for one more semester at this school. I will be in town in April and I will take the NAT (I hope I do as well.) I will then put my application in and wait. I will let you guys know how it goes after I apply. Thanks for the help!
