  1. How many students are accepted for Fall? 568 applicants - wow!
  2. okay...I feel like a dork...but is a hemostate and a hemostat the same thing?
  3. I'm IN!!!!! Just got my packet!!! Woohoo!!!! My letter is dated 7/23. Orientation is 8/17 (which is the Monday AFTER our vacation! Yay!). I had 199 points. I am SOOOOOOO psyched!!!!
  4. so I called the number again....and was told that 'no...the letters have not been mailed out...maybe the end of next week or the 1st week in August'.
  5. So I opened the mailbox today and there was a BIG WHITE PACKET in there!!!! but not from FCCJ. Ugh!
  6. ...and nothing again today Maybe next week...
  7. Anybody check their mail today?
  8. I guess it's all semantics...I counted like this: Monday, June 1st - Application Deadline Monday, June 8th - 1 week since deadline Monday, June 15th - 2 weeks since deadline Monday, June 22nd - 3 weeks since deadline Monday, June 29th - 4 weeks since deadline Monday, July 6th - 5 weeks since deadline Monday, July 13th - 6 weeks since deadline Monday, July 20th - 7 weeks since deadline Monday, July 27th - 8 weeks since deadline When all is said and done, it doesn't really matter how we count the time. FCCJ will mail them whenever they are ready. All we can do is wait.
  9. Sorry Cookie09...better count again...this is only week 6 we may have 2 more weeks to go! Ugh. When I dropped off the application packet, the woman at the desk told me to expect to hear something the 3rd week in July. I'm thinking we'll hear something the end of next week.
  10. nothing here either
  11. With 223 points, you're a shoe-in! :) As for the rest of us...it's a nail biter! I applied for summer term with like 186 and change...and missed the cut off of 190.something! I was sooo down! I retook the NAT and I've applied with 199. I hope that's enough. I really REALLY want in! I'm really curious about when Orientation is - I have a week's vacation planned in August, too. So we're in a 'wait and see' mode. Patience is a virtue, right?
  12. Not yet. I'm really not expecting anything until the 3rd week of July (that's what I was told when I dropped off the packet). I hate this waiting though!
  13. Hey y'all...question on Orientation....when was it for Summer and when did classes start? Was there just the one orientation or were there multiple dates? How's the first semester going? Hope things are going well for y'all!
  14. Hmmmm...I wonder when Orientation will be for Fall 2009? We have a family vacation planned for August.
  15. I dropped my application off on Friday. The woman checked over the application and then logged it as received. I asked if they had received a lot of applications and she said "oh yeah!". She said they'll get a bunch of applications as the deadline approaches. More importantly, she said to expect to hear something the 3rd week in July. So it's a waiting game now...I have 199 points. Makes me nervous every time I see one of you 200+ point people posting on here.
