Ya know , they could always send a mass email to us with the point cut off as soon as they know it. That would eliviate about two weeks I bet. We all have an FCCJ email, right? DOn't mind me; I am going to start thinking up every little way we could know faster , lol!

I agree with you as a matter of fact a lot of schools do communicate your acceptance/denial to the program via email and then send out the packets! I really wish that FSCJ would consider doing the same thing, its no way we should have to wait 2 months to find out if we have been accepted or not. When they are trying to decide who makes the cut they should hire temp staff to help them out if its 600+ applicants and its a 5 day work week they should process 60 applications a day for 2 weeks, the 3rd week should be when they have everything in the spreadsheet and decide who makes the cutoff and to verify everyone's address and 4th week mail out packets. There's no way it should take 8 weeks to figure this out! I can't stand this wait! November 1st is on Sunday, and on the website for the BSN it says expect letters for acceptance/denial on or after November 1st hopefully it will be the same for us too....The suspense is KILLING me!

I'm cracking up! "WE" have it figured out....do we need to send mass emails sharing all of our creative ideas to get notices out sooner??? I guess this is a good way for us to pass time until we finally get "the letters". I just hope that Im not the one this semester to inform everyone of the cutoff point total.

Now you have ME stalking the mailman... LOL

I hope not either jkvanso! I hope we all make it but we will never know until we get our letters! Every semester it changes but for the last semester the cutoff was around 190ish. Who know's not all 600 people use this forum who applied but that would be great if we did so we could figure out the points cutoff ourself and stop worrying, I do know quite of few people applying with 200+ (including me) and I also know alot people applying with less so who knows! Just waiting on these letters to come out!

This does help I must say!

It's been officially 4 weeks today since the deadline! :uhoh21: They really should utilize our student emails!!!! Well looked at the school website a few minutes ago and the first day to use book vouchers is Dec 14th!!! Don't they usually have orientation around the time book vouchers can be used!!! I NEED to know right now, I am about to have an ANXIETY attack lol

Actually....our term had to wait the full 8 weeks (I emailed the dean!) and since we were at the deadline, they emailed us our acceptance and the package. Then they mailed the package separately.

So even an email notice does not make it go any faster!

Thanks for the comforting words FutureRNMom! We are not allowed to post names but the girl that is the receptionist for the nursing dept checked to make sure my application arrived for me (I mailed mine in), and she told me that they write down the names of ALL applicants when their applications arrive (both, through the mail and hand delivered). I asked if she could tell me how many had applied for the Spring semester and she said she couldn't give me the exact number (because she wasn't allowed) but that it was around 350 and less than 450! Hmmmm.....I am sure it was MORE than 350 going on past experience! Just hoping that last spring semester holds some similarity to this spring!!!!

Wow that's exciting news!!!!!!! If that's the case we should definitely know by next week if we are accepted or not. For some strange reason I keep think they may have lost my application, I hand delivered it I just want to know if I make it in or not. 350-450 is a lot less than who has been applying for the last couple of semesters.

I called today. She also told me that letters should arrive the second week in November. But, that info Im not too confident in since she doesn't do the mailing! However, she DOES write down the names as they come in, LOL!!!!
