FCCJ SPRING 2010

U.S.A. Florida

Published

I know it is a little early, but anyone plan on applying for FCCJ's spring 2010 program?? If I can get my Nat points up and if I do well in Micro this summer , I will be ready to apply!!!:yeah:Finally!!

Future,

Only 25! Sweet! That means that they are worth 2 points a piece and you really have to pay attention since missing anything minor would count an answer wrong. Wow! What pressure! So that would mean you couldn't miss more than 5. I think we will be ok. I think it will be easier than we think. Never hurt to put all that time in on the work though! :)

As for the supplemental info. I think it is just for your own benefit in helping to study. I enrolled in the evolve for med term but haven't looked at it since. I used the CD that came with the book. As I said before, memorizing by flash cards is not my thing. I did better with the games and working thru the book if that makes sense. I did look at the flash cards and tried to link definitions to the words I was having problems with, like gen, genesis, genic. originating, producing, causing (genic) they all end in ing and genic has an i. That is how I finally learned it. genesis I learned as if it was a bible thing, the "origin" of life. Then I re-enforced it with the games on the CD.

Hey, whatever works for you, right?! I put all this on here just so that if it helps someone else to learn the stuff, I am happy to have done it. If anyone else throughout the term finds new and unusual ways of learning that would help me out too, I would sure be grateful and give it a try since flashcard learning has never been a way for me to learn.

See you all tomorrow and we got this!! If we made it through College Algebra and some of us stat, we can do this! Also, A and P 1 and 2, yea, no stress!!

Good Luck new student nurses!!

Okay thank you. I wasn't sure if I wanted to play around with that evolve since we have that class on it in 4 wks and Miss E had told me to wait. It also looks like it gives you a grade. Not knowing anything about evolve I didn't want to touch it unless I had to. Did anyone buy those e-books (the ones that were $96 only if you bought the box of books)? Thank you for the info. Good luck everyone.

Good luck to everyone on our first two tests tomorrow! :) I guess we won't know what room we will be testing in until we get to campus tomorrow!! :) Let the madness begin!!!

When will we find out what room we are in for the testing? Maybe at the degree audit?

I am thinking at the degree audit!

The degree audit is in room C212 right?

Yes it is, that's the nursing office! :)

Thanks Future!

So how long until you guys actually work with patients and go to your hospitals and stuff?

Thats the part Im nervous about.

I've been skimming this topic to see what I should expect if I get in for the Summer semester.

Also, off-topic, but if you happen to pick up one of those fscj spring calenders they give out, my picture is on the cover, lol.

We don't start clinicals until week 8!

That's good. A lot of preparation time.

Im gonna need that, lol

For dosage calculations, are they just using the metric system or are they also making you convert with the apothecary system too? Thanks.
