FCCJ SPRING 2010

U.S.A. Florida

Published

I know it is a little early, but anyone plan on applying for FCCJ's spring 2010 program?? If I can get my Nat points up and if I do well in Micro this summer , I will be ready to apply!!!:yeah:Finally!!

I'm with you tmooney, back to stalking the mailman!

So is the first day of the nursing program the same first day for regular FCCJ students?

I think its January 11th

Im not in spring, but Im applying for the Summer and was just curious

It seems that you guys already know what you need way before the start of the semester.

How many weeks before the start of the program did you get all the information?

We had our nursing orientation on December 14th. We went over a handbook and other paperwork as well. We also did a lottery for our classes and we registered on the 16th. At orientation they went over information about our tests that we are going to have January 11th. We also received e-mails to help us.

Actually, I don't think we were given enough time. By the time we registered I missed the priority deadline for the child care grant and the North campus child care center is full so I may end of paying out of pocket for the semester and I have to bring them to Kent. Did anyone else have this problem with the grant? Did anyone fill out for it earlier? If so, how did you do that without knowing your schedule because they told me back in July not to apply for the grant until mid December after I registered for my classes. Also to those with children going to the North campus child care center, how far in advance did you register your kids for the semester? I want to make sure next semester they get a spot. Thanks!

My son will be going to Kent campus for the spring semester because the north campus was full. I did my child care grant application I think end of november early december (it was right after I got my acceptance letter) and just put on my application that I would be attending the nursing program full time and would provide my schedule later, which I did once I had registered for classes. To be sure that you get a spot next semester and are able to get the grant just start asking about a month before the semester ends and they will let you know.

Thanks for the info stawall0102! They told me the wrong info in July they said to wait until mid December but I will take your advice and ask way in advance for next semester.

You already have a test scheduled on the 11th?

Did your classes even officially start yet?

ALSO, how many weeks after the application deadline did you guys/gals get your acceptance letters to the nursing program?

I tried looking back in this topic and it seems you had plenty of time before the semester started

Dosage calculations and medical terms

doesnt sound so bad....

I was looking through this thread and saw how everybody was agonizing over the wait for the acceptance letters, lol.

I'll probably act the same way, lol.

What was the cut-off for the spring semester?

I know it was around 193 for fall... or was that for spring?

That was for spring, fall cutoff was 190. Something. When do you plan on applying?
