Hey there! :) Fall 2015 applications have started for Florida Atlantic University's Traditional BSN Program. I didn't see another thread talking about it so I decided to bring it up. If there is another thread, please link me to it!
To anyone applying to the same term: Have you taken the TEAS exam? I was going to pick up my review book today at B&N. I expect to probably take it twice and hopefully before next year! Where did you guys take the TEAS and how did you do?
I heard the deadline for applications is January 9, 2015. Their website hasn't updated yet from last term.
This is also my first time working with the NursingCAS and I'm still working on my application.
Milktea - Thank you! I was able to find it! I feel slightly embarrassed now because my GPA was lower than I thought. My transfer GPA was 3.50 but on the application my Broward College GPA is 2.73 and my St.Thomas University GPA is 3.50 I only did dual enrollment classes at St.Thomas and it was only like 2 classes. I'm not sure if those get averaged out or not but if I stand at a 2.73 then my chances are even lower along with my TEAS score lol. There's no going back though so all I have to do is just wait...
Ashtay06 - I submitted my application December 29, 2014 but then they returned my application to me on January 20, 2015. I was missing a transcript and had to resend it and I was scared that I was going to miss the deadline because it takes forever for the transcripts to be received but I'm glad they were able to receive everything. I'm a transfer as well! FAU accepted me as a transfer so now it just all comes down to this. Considering my GPA and TEAS score, I feel really discouraged now but like I said, there's no going back lol. I think they'll consider you and definitely look at your application. It's going to take forever because I can only imagine how many people really applied and they only do 80 for the interview. Super nerve-wrecking!
Everyone has told me that schools like FAU are competitive and they only take the best of the best applicants. Knowing that I don't even fit in with the top applicants makes me anxious but there's nothing I can do now except wait for my answer then go from there.

NursingCAS finally notified me today that all my coursework and transcripts have been received and verified
They told me that my final GPA would appear on my application that the university will see but I couldn't find it. Well, either way I'm just glad everything went through okay.
Waiting game continues
