FAU FNP 2019

So I do not think there has been a forum made yet for the FAU FNP program starting in August 2019. Other programs starting then welcome as well. The applications are officially open so I was hoping for some discourse on the application/interviews/etc.

I'm still in the middle of my application. Anyone having "fun" with nursingcas and started as well?

Hello Everyone,

I received a letter today from FAU and they stated that they decided to place me on the wait list to let him know if I accept or reject the decision to be on waitlist. It was not a rejection letter. The letter stated that they had a lot of applicants for the FNP program so they cannot admit me at this time. If I accept they will let me know by June 1, 2019 of any change in my application status. Did anyone get a letter like that? Thank you!

I got my acceptance info packet. I'm glad they gave this to us early because theres plenty of minor things to do. immunization records, residency form, setting up faunet. easy but time consuming.

Did they tell you how many days you will have to report to clinical during week days and also how many days for class? am thinking it might be 3 days but am not sure. Anyways I will accept the waitlist for now I have nothing to lose.

Same? I think eveyone that didn’t get accept is on this list so I’m not going to hold my breath. I have over 10yrs experience with paramedic background and a competitive gpa so I’m not sure what they were looking for , or if they decided to pull names out of a hat . Congratulations to those who got in.

I am not sure but I applied at the last minute but I do have a very good GPA and I did my BSN at FAU too. I didnt think I would get called for an interview because I thought i had missed the deadline. I am still waiting on UWF but they do not help students find preceptors so not even sure if I want to deal with the stress.

So I think I will apply for something else. Bye, bye FNP

We do not really know clinical info yet since we do not have clinicals the first year. the first 2 semesters are basically 100% online if i remember right.

Yes I completed the majority of the requirements for the clinical section, only left with three to do (TB, Influenza, & the notarized student oath). I also need to do my fingerprints.
