FAU FNP 2019

Nursing Students NP Students

So I do not think there has been a forum made yet for the FAU FNP program starting in August 2019. Other programs starting then welcome as well. The applications are officially open so I was hoping for some discourse on the application/interviews/etc.

I'm still in the middle of my application. Anyone having "fun" with nursingcas and started as well?

Congratulations!!! We’re you in the wait list for Boca or harbor branch ?

it was great but sooooooooooooooooooooo short. i didnt time it but i want to say it was more like 8-10 minutes instead of 15. but the questions were not complicated. no questions on "what would you do if___ happened? or tell me about a time a patient ___?" etc. questions were generic like why fau over other schools. Everyone was so nice but i feel like the questions were not the kind to really narrow down the group. unless they are looking more at how you act and if you are professional and dont say "um" every other word.

I worked a night shift prior and didnt sleep until after my 2pm interview so I hope they dont think i always look exhausted haha. I wish i hadnt been so tired because the trip to boca just for 10 minute talk could have been better if i explored the campus a bit more.

Hi, I have interview on June, please would you give me idea about questions on interview . Thank you, I really appreciate it.

I did not know they were still conducting interviews. Congratulations. What campus?

Hey, Has anyone signed up for their classes yet?

Hi everyone

i would like to know if anyone got accepted into this program. Was it really hard to get into the FNP at FAU?

I called the school today bc I want to apply next year and I was told that the program is very competitive and from 300 people only 60 get acccepted. Also I was told that most are from the DNP program.

How much is the total cost?

why is it so hard??

i have my RN Bsn from FIU I have a gpa 4.0 and I am a board certified ambulatory care nurse. I have plenty of experience in and out the hospital.

Any feedback please

Hi, its competitive because they only have 60 spots for all graduate nursing programs (msn and dnp). So each program is only accepting a fraction of 60.

Total cost is around 20-22k from my math but that can vary based on where you get your books/supplies and if credit hour prices change.

You have a 4.0 gpa and hospital experience, I wouldn't worry unless you have a terrible writing ability or cannot get a decent letter of recommendation.

If you want to increase your chances, make sure you also are in some associations, FAU loves associations (FNA, ANA, association based on your field, etc).

Also, @MeganL , yes i signed up for the two fall classes ?
