FAU Accelerated BSN 2011

Hi I was a current male physical therapy student disappointed with my career choice with a burning passion to be more involved with medicine and taking care of patients. I realized that nursing was a better avenue for what I wanted to do in life (I didn't care to get patients up and walk them, I'd rather be more involved with medical treatment). So I applied to FAU's Accelerated BSN program hoping to be accepted for MAY 2011!!! I will be taking a few more pre-reqs at palm beach state college and hope to hear the good news in February.

Hi Maria,

I also went and paid my $500 to UM yesterday. Did you end up going? I am almost done with the background check packet. I did the drug test and the background screening last week, and I was fingerprinted this morning. All I have left to do is notarize the FBI letter and send off the letter and fingerprint card. The secretary at UM said that it's not a big deal that this wasn't done within the 3 weeks. The most important thing was that deposit was paid. Now that I have already lost the $500, I am a little less nervous about hearing from FAU. What about you?

Hi Katie,

I overnighted the check last Saturday. They received it yesterday. As per the background check, I am mailing out the Fingerprints tomorrow. The rest is ready. Hopefully we know this week about FAU.

I got waitlisted. Not sure how the waitlisted works for FAU. I guess I should be a little happier about sending the $500 deposit to UM.
