Hi I was a current male physical therapy student disappointed with my career choice with a burning passion to be more involved with medicine and taking care of patients. I realized that nursing was a better avenue for what I wanted to do in life (I didn't care to get patients up and walk them, I'd rather be more involved with medical treatment). So I applied to FAU's Accelerated BSN program hoping to be accepted for MAY 2011!!! I will be taking a few more pre-reqs at palm beach state college and hope to hear the good news in February.
Any one else apply??
No worries those yet to be notified.I called and asked if you were not either wait- listed or accepted as of yesterday, would that be considered a rejection. I was told that the letters are computer generated based on when you applied. It is not based on whether or not you got accepted. So for those of us like me who applied that last few hours before the deadline we will not find out we got in until probably friday and that doesn't mean we haven't gotten in or wait-listed.
Thanks! I'm okay with it... I was really conflicted as to which program to go with anyway because Broward is much cheaper and I can continue working while I do it (I work over the internet grading the GRE and TOEFL essay sections). Honestly, I just wanted FAU because it's a semester shorter and I wanted access to their awesome gym lol

We only have until March 7th. You may want to contact them to see how long the wait list will remain active. Some schools are still contacting people off the wait list close to the program start date. Did they provide you with your position on the waiting list?
