  1. 1. Florida 2. 22.25 with $6 night differential. No weekend diff : ( 3. One year of experience as an RN 4. Med/Surg
  2. How did the second interview go?
  3. They called me today, but I was donating blood at the time and couldn't talk since I was connected to the machine. The lady on the phone said something along the lines of, "call me back when you have 15 minutes available to talk." Not sure if that qualifies as an interview?
  4. Hey! I also applied and got a call back today. Have you found out any more information? Did you have an interview?
  5. Hello! So i'm thinking about relocating to Chicago. I am a BSN grad with 1 year of med/surge experience. How are jobs in Chicago right now? Also, can I be licensed in both states if I keep up to date on relicensing? I just don't want to have any issues if I decide to stay in Florida? Hopefully this makes sense. Thank you : )
  6. Hey! Well, first of all, GO GATORS!! Did you ever find out info on going from FL to IL license? Thanks : )
  7. Luisafva, I checked on the FL department of health website, and it was posted in LESS than 24 hours. Heres the website that I went to. Hopefully you can find something similar for NJ! I was literally checking the site every 5 mins, I think I woke up in the middle of the night and checked ; ) haha. Good luck! Hope you find out soon! Default
  8. The test was set up just like the books prep us...with a mixture of hot spots, math, select all that apply, and drag and drop (not sure what the proper name is for this). I got a lot of select all that apply. I tried to read the study guide at least every other day.
  9. Just wanted to share my NCLEX story to give everyone some hope and encouragement. I graduated with my BSN in May, and took May and half of June off. I started studying halfway through June, and took the test on Thursday July 26. The first two weeks, I studied for 6 hours a day. I got over that really quick, and probably did 4 for the rest of my time studying. First, I watched all of the Hurst videos in order to get my content to where I wanted it to be. I watched the videos and filled out the worksheets. Next, I went through the worksheets system by system and tried to "master" the info on them. Then I did practice questions from the Davis NCLEX book (about $14 used on amazon.com) that corresponded to the worksheet from the system that I had "mastered". My school made us buy the Davis book, but we never opened it. I was so happy that I peeked inside because the CD had 4000+ questions! I read over the study guide that I found on this site OVER and OVER again. What do you know...there were a some things on the test straight from the guide! Thank you to whoever posted that : ) The week of my test, I was really anxious and I really started to second guess myself. I postponed the test one more week, and really buckled down. I decided to see what all the fuss was about with Kaplan, so I went to the local bookstore and looked at the Kaplan NCLEX book. I read through the first 100 or so pages to get some test taking strategies. I was glad that I did this, and was able to get some helpful tips for test day. My test shut off at 75 questions and I was sure that I failed. I couldn't help myself, so I logged into Pearson Vue immediately after to try the "trick". It said delivery successful, and I got the "good" pop-up. Today, I got the official "PASS" next to my name! Good luck to all!!!!
  10. I was accepted off of the waitlist today. The email says that class starts May 16.
  11. I was waitlisted. Congrats to everyone that got in!
  12. I got waitlisted. Not sure how the waitlisted works for FAU. I guess I should be a little happier about sending the $500 deposit to UM.
  13. Katie and Maria, I am in the same position with sending UM the deposit. I haven't called FAU yet, but I called UCF yesterday and they said that they aren't sending out decisions until MID MARCH! So annoying. I'm going down to check out UM next week, and i'll probably send my deposit soon after to secure my spot.
  14. I'm also waiting to hear back from FAU! Good luck to everyone : )
  15. Oh cool. I graduated May 2010 from UF also. Small world haha. I sent you a friend request on facebook, definitely add me to the facebook group if you make it : )
